I’m pretty sure we haven’t done that since maybe 2012? If not earlier. As said above the GCA is the best bang for your buck. Good quarterly magazine, and they report the info directly to the CMP.

I shoot 3gun up there when I can. Nice range. Been thinking about joining for a while.

Attending an Appleseed class is a good way to go about it, too!

There was a time when the site was enrolled and issued CMP letters for purchase, however that hasn't been true in a number of years.

There are numerous other locations where you can get a CMP letter. If in the future the site re-enrolls and begins offering CMP letters again, I am certain that an announcement on how to go about obtaining one will be posted.

I just joined the GCA for the club requirement and used my carry license for the practical requirement.

They put on great matches. You can use a pump. That's what I started with the first year or so. My advice is don't put a lot of money into it until you know you like it. I'm sure I've got some pouches and shell caddies you could borrow to get you started. Hope to see you up there sometime.

I'll get out there sooner or later at least to observe and learn before trying it. The steel challenge guys are bugging my to try that out as well haha. All this while I'm thinking about ways to get jrs more involved with the range (I'm on the board as the rifle and pistol jrs director) but i need to get out and shoot more usually when im out there im coaching my kids with their 3p rifles.
