Anyone want to go downtown and get lectured by a foreign child about what a horrible person you are?

I'm going to ride down on my two-stroke Kawasaki.

Who's in?

No fossil fuel- global warming.
No coal- pollution
No nuclear power- too dangerous.

We just need a bunch of guys in coordinated green arm bands cheering for Greta in an exaggerated fake german accent while giving the green salute.

What is a green salute? Oh, you imagine an uncut Christmas tree, and try to touch the top of your imaginary tree, to celebrate it's life.

I suggest taking strong approaches, like shouting "kill all de carbon babies!" "polluters must wear de stars!"

Wonder if that would be enough to make the news...

Ditto. The video/analysis you posted is right on. My (80 year old) Aunt, is an Environmental Nut/Climate Change Nut, etc., and continues to try and scare her grandchildren to death. It's pretty amazing to see these people, scare young people to death, and make them think they can't have kids and can't have a normal life. Despicable (as said in your linked video.)

I asked a friend/coworker of mine with kids (I'm kidless) if they had had mentioned how the world is going to end in 12 years due to climate change, and he said yes. He said one of his kids said. "what does it matter?! The world is going to end in 12 years!"

It's very scary, that individuals, governments, media, etc., are promoting such fear in the name of climate change.

13+ hours of 747 fuel divide by approx pax (400).

Best way to convert solid/liq organic compounds to carbon gas form is to BURN LESS FUEL than necessary.

I contributed to that a lot by NOT traveling to different
states/countries for about 2 years. [LOL]

Good! I'll quote the content here for the ease of access;

Former Top Gear host, Jeremey Clarkson, has had it when it comes to self-righteous youngsters pointing fingers at his generation and proclaiming they?ve doomed everyone else with ?climate change.?

Writing a column for The Sun, Clarkson aimed his ire at 16-year-old Greta Thunberg who gave a speech at the United Nations, chastizing previous generations for their carelessness and claiming that they stole her ?dreams and her childhood.? While the media made this speech out to be one of the greatest ever heard, many thought it misguided, if not ridiculous.

This includes Clarkson.

?How dare we? No. How dare you sail to America on a carbon fibre yacht that you didn?t build which cost ?15million, that you didn?t earn, and which has a back-up diesel engine that you didn?t mention,? wrote Clarkson.

He proceeded to lay into Thunberg about all the amenities she enjoys thanks to previous generations, including his. This includes all the drugs she uses, aid missions to poor countries, and the movies she enjoys, all made by his generation.

He also included the fact that she sleeps soundly in her bed at night thanks to his generation:

And then pause for a moment to consider how soundly you sleep at night, knowing that adults are building and servicing and flying Sweden?s fighter planes. To keep you safe.

We gave you mobile phones and laptops and the internet. We created the social media you use every day and we run the banks that pay for it all.

So how dare you stand there and lecture us, you spoilt brat.

Clarkson tells Thunberg that she is, indeed, a spoiled brat thanks in part to her parents doing everything she ordered them to do instead of telling her how the world really works and not everyone gets what they want. The former Top Gear host then let Thunberg in on some reality:

What they should have done is point out that life is tragic.

Some people are born bright and some are born stupid.

Some are beautiful and some are not.

Some have rich parents who give them everything but love.

Some have poor parents who have nothing to give except love.

Now shut up and let them get on with it.

This is how the world works. It?s how the world has always worked.

And banging your fists on the table won?t change a thing. You?ll learn that when you?ve got a few more years under your belt.

Clarkson said that he doesn?t necessarily disagree with Thunberg that the planet is hotter and that it?s possible that mankind has something to do with it, but that pointing fingers and virtue signaling isn?t going to get anything done. In fact, as Clarkson once again points out, the very people Thunberg blames for the problem are busy trying to solve it.

He then suggested that if Thunberg really wants to help, she should go back to school and study science and join in on the real problem solving:

Something needs to be done about that. So how?s this for an idea. Get back to school as quickly as possible and work hard in your science lectures.

Because science is what will solve the problem eventually. Not scowling and having screaming ab-dabs every five minutes.

Many thousands of people who you had the temerity to blame this week are trying to do exactly what you want.

So be a good girl, shut up and let them get on with it.

I love how their spokes(girl) is an entirely uneducated, inexperienced teenager with the intellectual experience of a potato chip, reading from a script with all the emotion of a Hitler youth in a propaganda video.

As if the people who are swayed by simple fake and exaggerated emotion (absent anything else) aren't already wide-eyed screaming at passerby's that the world is ending while maintaining an apartment full of carbon-exhaling cats.

Really, what's the point?

eddiememphis

Really, what's the point?

Control.

The company she is working with is closely tied to Al Gore's organization. They are heavily invested in the so-called Green Economy. When carbon fuels are banned, they have the technology to replace the energy produced, and make billions doing so.

Control the production and distribution of energy and you control a large part of the economy. You also control the little people but telling how they can live their lives, because of course, they know how you should live your life better than you do.
