Lots of products out there, want cheap, easy to install and high quality..... went to a school and got tired of lifting my heavy handguard M4...?. Any advice TIA Ron Burgy
Cheap, easy install, light and high quality?
Tall order.
Cheap is the deal breaker.
Define cheap.

I really like the handguard, very light, the funky 2 piece barrel nut not so much

Thanks.... gives me the ideas to work with...…..
How about USA made and probably an OE version of other brands hand-guards?
Good designs 7 slots of MLOK, and a decent lock up. All under $60?

Is the issue really the hand-guard or the barrel? Perhaps you'll need a thinner profile barrel under the hand-guard, too.
ALG website has some hand guards on sale within your price range

This.
I have a buddy with an 18" barrel and nothing fancy hand guard that weighs less than my 10.5" 300 blk with a "light weight" hand guard.

If you're using a delta ring/carbine length and want rails this is the lightest option in the cheap category.
If you want free floating and cheap and light they have carbon fiber tubes that glue onto a barrel nut in that price range.
Way late to the conversation, and I posted in another topic along these lines, but I did an ultra lightweight build using components from V-Seven. The Hyperlight Magnesium rails are pretty solid, and a 15in one is only 5.7oz.
