Can you buy an OTC tag after a season starts?

I have a few days off and will get an OTC tag for 3rd rifle if I can. But it seems like they would cut off sales after the season starts to prevent someone from shooting a elk, then getting a tag after the fact to get it processed.

I'm probably hosed but thought I'd ask before driving to try to get a tag.

Yes, but it has to be from a DOW office, not a Walmart. I bought a bear tag mid-season, but that was a draw tag I believe.
