Besides the s--tfit the Swamp is having and the way the MSM has gone wholehog and abandoned any pretense at impartiality or neutrality, Trump and McConnell are pushing ahead with remaking the federal judiciary. This will be paying dividends for years to come as the federal judges appointed make their way further upchain. Even if a particular Republican's conservative credentials or voting record is suspect, the very act of denying that seat to a Democrat -- at county, state, or national levels -- mitigates the damage and helps turn the tide.
We in Colorado are in for a rough road with the Dems controlling everything -- from AG to Secretary of State (elections) to legislature to the governor's mansion. We need non-Socialists with the greatest likelihood of winning general elections to push them out before we can Make Colorado Great Again. [Flower]
Yeah, thank God for Donald Trump.

Glad to see folks recognizing him for the good he's done. I'm not a Trump worshiper, but he's done plenty of good, yet there are no shortage of "Never Trumper's" even here on this very forum.

The court appointments were the primary focus of my support for Trump last time around. Can't let the Dems pack the courts.

Agreed, reluctant, primary focus. I'm hoping RBG transitions to "next" inside of the next six months. Otherwise it is short lived, just a pillow away....

Never happen.. The D's will (with major media backing) CRY FOUL reminding the world what the R's did to keep garland from being seated. Constitutionally Legal i might add, as would be the d's right. Unfortunately this shitstorm, that started once T won the R nomination has tsumanied out of control. .
Imagine the war that would result if the R's refused to have trial in the Senate until voting for a nominee was complete [handbags] it would either be called the "man bun conflict" or the "yoga pants war"
Secretly I wonder how pence fairs in runoffs. In the unlikely event T was impeached, maybe they shoot themselves in the foot. The guy is cleaner than an Enron filebox. How he has survived being VP without getting on the "bad side" of tweets is phenomenal...so far.

I'm imagining the opposite; that McConnell holds the trial and keeps it going right up through the Democratic Convention, requiring the six Democratic Senators vying for the nomination to remain in DC six days a week. Imagine the chaos on the Democratic nomination process.

Some believe that's the strategy to make sure the non-Senator candidate (Biden) locks up the nomination.

I saw on CNN or Fox that the candidates would most likely bypass the trial. If the repubs stick together the Dems could always use that as an excuse to stay on the campaign trail.

And yet another circuit court is flipped. A Trump nominee was appointed to the 11th Circuit Court today giving it a conservative majority.
I like McConnell's theme on federal court judicial vacancies: "Leave no vacancy behind."
Senate confirms 8 more appointees in 3 days.

At least the senate is working. Unlike the house.
Fuckin' liberals.
