Any Glock certified armorers here?

I just became aware of the 1991 parts upgrade and the 1993 g19 recall with the slide protrusion causing accidental discharges. I have a second generation G19 that I believe hasn’t had any of them done and I’m not sure what to do about this, should I send it to Glock or can a local armorer handle these things?

My first Glock was a 19 that I purchased new in around 1992. It was my main IDPA fun for many years. It?s the first pistol I owned that I used to keep track of the round count. I had a small journal and every time it saw action I would document how many rounds I put through it. After it passed the 10k round mark I kind of quit keeping track but I feel it legitimately had at least 15k through it before I finally passed it on to a new owner.

It seems that the problem may only be limited to two letter serial number prefixes. If you have a 3 letter prefix it should be good. Part replacement can be taken care of at a local armored. The the protrusion may not be. If you call glock I’m sure they tell you more.

Send it back to glock they will swap out all the parts for current parts and make sure you are good to go. You just have to pay shipping to them.

Awesome, thank you. It’s a dual number prefix so it’s in the “zone”. Do I have to ship it to them from an FFL? My local one burned down and the other moved so I need to find a new place.

You can ship it your self, it has to go 2 day fedex or ups. Fedex is cheaper at least when I shipped one back. Glock has all the info on there web site.
