Need a new cell phone

So the wife wants a new phone for Christmas but she doesn't need the latest and greatest. Looking at eBay and such but really kind of lost. We are on Sprint so will an unlocked phone work? Anyone have a site for new 2 to 3 year old models?

Delivered in several days from a company in Texas.
I ran a Samsung program to copy data from old phone to new phone.

My old SIM card was a different size than my new phone.
I went to the Verizon store; they swapped in a smaller SIM card.
