Mods feel free to delete this if it's not allowed.

Thieves suck. Big time. We can all agree on that.

I know there have been other efforts posted on the board for those in need, so I thought it was worth a shot.

I've never cross posted something like this before, and I don't personally know any of these people, so I've got no skin in the game other than feeling bad for this guy, who's reportedly a fellow Army Vet, and his family. Looks like he really busts his ass as a First Responder and also runs a concrete finishing business.

No insurance? Parking his trailer over the weekend at Colfax and Glencoe? Yea, super dumb, but it is what it is.

It's nice to want to help. Operating without insurance is pretty (i.e. extremely) common among small business owners. The whole angle of "I was just about to get insurance!" isn't landing with me. I seriously doubt he just walked into $100,000 worth of equipment overnight. He's been in business since at least April of 2017. https://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/BusinessEntityDetail.do?quitButtonDestination=Busi nessEntityResults&nameTyp=ENT&masterFileId=20171292176&entityId2=20171292176&fileId=20171292176&srchTyp=ENTITY

I guess I'll get robbed/burgled pretty soon since I haven't rushed out to help this guy (also I have no money right now). I wish him the best. This is a tough lesson to learn and a hard pill to swallow. Unfortunately, this is the kind of thing that ruins people.

Same same. Can't donate to charity cases if it'll risk you becoming a charity case. Agree on the insurance thing. Back when I was building decks we never carried it, but then again I wasn't driving around with 100k in stuff. It sucks bad, but if he's alive, and his families alive and healthy, it's not the EOTWAWKI.

Wow, looks like he just had everything all out in a parking lot for photos and inventory, for the insurance he was fixing to get. If that's the same parking lot it was stolen from, someone nearby must have seen all that stuff spread out.

My post wasn't intended to guilt anyone into donating or a chain plea.

SMH.

You always make such inane assumptions Ron.

I have no doubt he spread all his gear out on the job site. [facepalm]FFS.
