Can anyone point me to a shop that could thread my newly aquired AWB era bushmaster HBAR 20" barrel? And would anyone have a ballpark cost for this type of work? I found some government profile 20" AR barrels for $175 (with the FSB and triangle handguard clips, etc), so if the cost to thread it approaches that, I'll probably just plan to swap the barrel down the road.
Just planning to put flash hider on it, but still figured I should do it right if I'm going to bother.

Average threading, done right runs $100 + depending on what shop or smith does it. I'd consider selling the bbl on some gun buy/sell forums.
Yeah, I?d ditch the heavy barrel. Sell it for $75 or $80 or whatever you can get and put that money towards a new barrel in the length and profile that you want that?s already threaded.

And they are welcome to tempt fate.
I prefer not to.

He has a shop he works out of off of Evans and Santa Fe, by appt only.
He just did a 308 chop, rethread, and bottom metal install for me on an old Rem 700 PSS. I can't recommend his work enough.
