Highlights

"Federal data (https://www.nssf.org/nssf-releases-firearms-production-figures/) show that the estimated number of civilian-owned firearms in America is 423,000,000. Yet, the most recent statistics (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr68/nvsr68_09-508.pdf) from the Centers for Disease Control show that only 486 deaths were caused by accidental discharges in 2017."

"These 486 firearm deaths made up only 0.3 percent of all 169,936 accidental deaths."

"In comparison to the 486 accidents (only a portion of which occur in the home), firearms are used for home defense over 950,000 (https://scholarlycommons.law.northwestern.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=6853&context=jclc) times per year."

"?Safe storage? laws are unconstitutional because they prohibit immediate self-defense in the home."

"...the Supreme Court has acknowledged that the Constitution provides ?protection against all governmental invasions of the sanctity of a man?s home and the privacies of life.?"

"...but if it only saves 1 life, isn't it worth it?"

[Puke]

When SCOTUS can support the citizenry being forced to buy a product (health insurance), a ruling of Constitutionality doesn't mean what it used to.

For the gun safety crowd, it likely will take some convincing when they themselves become a victim of criminal behavior. Some lessons have to be earned the hard way.[79879https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200116/8e8623f0a4746aa8b8c9e49a943cfa5a.jpgATTACH]79878[/ATTACH]
