Looking for recommendations (or cautionary tales) on a builder for a small shop/outbuilding on my property. Nothing incredibly elaborate, don't need a Garage-Mahal, just a building to house some larger hobby-tools, park a couple of motorcycles and putter around. Something 30x40-ish, steel roof and concrete slab floor. I'm not married to any particular type of construction and a pole-building structure would probably work. I'm 1 mile off 25, about 4 miles North of Colorado City. Hoping to get something going this spring/early summer. Please feel free to PM if its easier/better.

Thanks!

if you do a pole barn, it's cheaper tax wise .. Have them pour the slab after the building is up, again tax rate. What ever way you go, especially a pole barn. Have them build it at least 6" higher than the existing ground it will sit on. AND get it insulated, or you'll have a nice downpour of condensation .

This is the one I built at the end of this summer. It still isnt complete because of my broken leg, but I was able to get most of the roof on it. Im hoping to finish it up in a few weeks. It was not that difficult to build myself, the only thing I used the tractor for was to dig holes and then set the center posts. It is 36x36 with a 12x36 upstairs. No concrete floor as this is an agricultural building for now. Out of pocket cost to finish it is a little over $5500.
