Just in time for tax refunds.

It's a good thing there isn't one of those near me. It seems like on a good day it only costs me $100 to get out.

Best chain sporting goods store around.

Sportsman's Warehouse will have my business. They may fill the void filled after Cabela's went into toilet after their takeover by bAss Pro.

Great, nice close source for reloading supplies and ammo, especially since WalMart doesn’t have what I need anymore.

And gummy orange slices?
Forgot about those, usually get the boys a bag of gummy worms when we go there.

How’d you hear about this? They just need to carry Dillon reloading products.

You had me at "gummy orange slices"

Sportsman’s has it on their website as well.
I remember SW in their other locations being impacted by issues with Denver restricting "assault weapons". This should put them in DougCo to avoid those issues?
Awesome!! Now I'll have a fun place to take the grandsons when I head to Parker for a visit LOL. I've found some great deals on ammo (especially what I can't find at other stores) at the store on S. Sante Fe.
Good for Sportsman's Warehouse. They are a reliable purveyor and got my business yesterday for carrying Barnes Vor-Tex om 7mm-08 when I couldn't find it anywhere else. I used to prefer Cabela's as a customer since their mail order days but Bass Pro has destroyed the Cabela's brand and I don't think it will be resurrected. I was in the GJ Cabela's yesterday and all around the store I heard customers grousing about Cabela's prices, the changes from selling sporting goods to stuff like sunglasses, jewelry and cheap household crap, the emaciated hunting and boot departments, and the awful Redhead clothing lines. Too bad.

Sportman's is positioning themselves well to fill the void left by Gart's, Dick's, the Cabela's/BassPro debacle and now Walmart. Cabela's needs to change their slogan from "The World's Foremost Outfitter" to "The World's Foremost Outdoor Lifestyle Store".
Is this place open now?
The store is not open yet. Coming soon.

I'm willing to bet there are legal adults who don't even know what "Gart's" is..... Dicks and Sports Authority filled that void long ago, and SA hasn't been around for over 3 years, but that's neither here nor there.

No doubt. Does anybody remember the Gart Brothers store on Larimer Street? It was their main store long before they built the "Sports Castle" on Broadway. Before the area became known a LoDo, Garts was on the corner down the block from the old Goodwill store. It was in an ancient 1800's building, 2 or 3 stories plus a big basement. The gun department was down a long wide wooden stairway into the basement and the gunsmith shop was in a room that looked like an old wooden jail. They catered to competitive target shooters and carried all the specialty gear you'd never find in a gun store nowdays.
Dave Cooks was a latter day upstart that competed with Garts but they never handled anything for competitive shooters.
And the Cooks and Garts were also connected through marriage. Back in the late 40s they sent “tractor parts” to the new state of Israel. Used their connections to buy up oodles of surplus arms. Apologies for the drift.

Sorry- I still referred to Sports Authority as Gart's due to force of habit. I spent a lot of time as a kid drooling over the gun counter of Gart's long before they became the land of PC culture friendly soccer cones and yoga mats.
Speaking of Dave Cook, I remember their being a literal barrel of Lee-Enfields at the Boulder store across from McGuckins in the mid-80's. I was probably 11 or 12 at the time.

The merger has killed Cabela's and Sydney, NE.
