At 103 yrs old.

I thought he was a great actor. While probably best known for SPARTACUS!

One of his best yet overlooked was, Cast a Giant Shadow.

Among them, A Town without Pity, Gunfight at the O.K Corral, Seven Days in May (written by Rod Serling), and 20,000 Leagues under the Sea.

He was also a Lt. in the Navy

IMDB: In Memoriam: Kirk Douglas (1916 to 2020) (https://www.imdb.com/video/vi794607385)

I remember being influenced by 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at the theater in my yoot. It was a re-run at the theater, though.

Back at in the day Disney would re-release all their movies every ten years to get a new generation, and put them on TV every five or so. It made it an event. Smart marketing.

The only way to do a re-run back then was in the theater. I remember seeing The Sound of Music when I was a youngin'. It wasn't until much later did I realize that it wasn't a new release at the time.
