Clint Eastwood (https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/clint-eastwood-richard-jewell-flops-box-office-critical-acclaim) is breaking his silence over the 2020 presidential hopeful (https://www.foxnews.com/category/politics/2020-presidential-election) he believes is best fit for office.

The 89-year-old discussed the #MeToo movement, career highlights and dished on his political views in a revealing interview with the Wall Street Journal (https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-hollywood-legend-talks-politics-11582311359?mod=trending_now_pos1), and it turns out Mike Bloomberg (https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/michael-bloomberg) has the actor's support.

"The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there," Eastwood told the outlet.

Eastwood, who described himself to the outlet as a libertarian who has "respect for other people's ideas and is willing to learn constantly," said there are "certain things" Trump has done during his presidency that he approves of.

But the "Richard Jewell (https://www.foxnews.com/media/richard-jewell-clint-eastwood-fox-nation)" director said he still takes issue with the "ornery" state of politics in America, adding that he'd like to see the president act "in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names."

"I would personally not like for him [Trump] to not bring himself to that level," Eastwood added.

Eastwood's comments about Trump come years after the actor caused a social media frenzy for his infamous empty-chair speech (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/eastwood-spars-with-chair-as-obama-stand-in-calls-romney-stellar-businessman) at the 2012 Republican National Convention, where he put on an uproarious mock interview with a chair as a stand-in for Barack Obama.

Then, ahead of the 2016 election, Eastwood told Esquire it was Trump over Hillary Clinton in his eyes, admitting it was his anti-Obama views (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/eastwood-spars-with-chair-as-obama-stand-in-calls-romney-stellar-businessman) that influenced his decision.

"I'd have to go for Trump ? you know, 'cause she's declared that she's gonna follow in Obama's footsteps. There's been just too much funny business on both sides of the aisle. She's made a lot of dough out of being a politician. I gave up dough to be a politician. I'm sure that Ronald Reagan gave up dough to be a politician."

"The Mule" actor also touched on the #MeToo movement to WSJ, sharing that sexual predatory behavior has been "very prolific" in the film industry, dating back to the 1940s.

The actor and director shared his appreciation for women who are "standing up against people who are trying to shake you down for sexual favors."

While Eastwood shared no sympathy for disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, the legendary actor said he does worry that the dishonorable movie exec's rape scandal -- he's currently on trial in New York (https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jury-in-harvey-weinsteins-rape-trial-deadlocked-on-2-counts) awaiting a verdict -- as well as other high-profile sex crime cases as of late, has led to the public being "on the defensive."

Eastwood held his own office for a two-year term as mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif. in 1986.

In December, the actor was spotted letting loose on the ski slopes with former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. (https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/clint-eastwood-arnold-schwarzenegger-spend-time-together-on-the-slopes)
Why would a true libertarian vote for a guy that wants to control the size of your soda and how much salt you can use on your food?

Well, he supported Trump and campaigned for him admirably in spite of Trump's character because the alternative was unacceptable. He's now doing the same for Bloomberg just many Americans will do who are not single issue voters.

If Bloomberg wasn't anti 2A, Trump wouldn't stand a chance of reelection in spite of the economy. Trump's only remaining strength is the weakness of the opposition. Trump could commit murder and prevail over the socialists.

Okay, maybe not murder.

But Bloomberg is a capitalist even though he's trying appeal to leftist fringe. And he's the only turd in the democrat pot who is capable of running the country. He isn't saddled with the character flaws that currently darken the presidency. But he's still a 78 year old turd, just like Bernie.

Think most independent voters can be seen as voting against the other candidate, not for the one they vote for.

Sad but very true.

Something to note too - a passing comment re-quoted and re-interpreted by a modern "journalist" whose $ is base on clicks, does not, by any measure, count as an endorsement or backing or in any way trustworthy - yet.

Example modern journalist: Laughing in response to said journalist and saying "What, do you the best thing to do is plug Mike Bloomberg in there?"

"Journalist" quotes
Then Clint said, "[T]he best thing to do is put Mike Bloomberg in there!"

Not saying it isn't true, but I have less than zero faith in interview rehashing = anything in clickbait news markets.

Maybe not character flaws. However he is the complete opposite of what the d's not only stand for . But also their mantra of the R party, being one of rich, old white men.
Shows how desperate the D party is.

Throw in his $2500 buying off people to put out positive spins on the guy. If (as some believe) the dnc screws bernie, again. A dirty toilet could take the office, since they'd sit it out, again.
