View Full Version : Any tree/shrub care and trimming recommendations?

We (and my parents) have used Swingle for years. They were acquired by Save A Tree and they've gotten a lot bigger and vastly more expensive over the years--and the guy we worked with there who we trusted a great deal recently left. Thinking it's time to consider some other options. Most of our needs are annual pruning for the various shrubs and grasses and cleanup kinds of stuff. We have a couple larger trees that they do occasional pruning and some special services for (fertilizer and borer prevention on one).

Any recommendation out there from folks who have companies they've used and think do a good job?

We used https://fieldingtreeandshrubcare.com/ .

They had the lowest estimate to remove a big volunteer juniper and prune a bunch of shrubs that were out of control. They had an army of folks that showed up and knocked it out quick and did a great job of cleaning up the area.

Saw they seemed to have pretty good Google reviews when I was poking around before I posted this thread, so that's good to get your feedback. Thanks!

Just a thought. Call everyone in the book and ask for the guy you trusted by name. Chances are he's with another company

Yeah . . . I was trying to poke around online to see if I could locate him but no luck so far. I probably will call around a bit. It's not like I HAVE to work with him, but he was always really good so I'm at least curious.

I mange the office that takes care of your area so I am biased for sure. Been doing it for almost 20 years. Company is 100% employee owned and in business since 1880. Yes the date is correct. We can provide all of the services I think you are referring to. A lot companies only do pruning.

Got your pm. Would be happy to get an estimate done. I'm probably going to get a few just to compare to what Swingle used to charge. I would guess pretty much everyone is lower, LOL.
