There are suppressors specifically made for air rifles. Not sure if one made for a firearm would work on an air rifle.
Works well. My Anschutz 9003 is a bit loud indoors. With a can, really quiet
Does not require a stamp. One example: (https://fxairguns.com/rifles/the-royale-500/)

If it threads on like a traditional can, the air rifle community calls them Lead Dust Collectors. They collect the lead dust for safety and just happen to make the guns quiet. In the PCP rifle world, REALLY quiet. On my PCP rifles all you hear is the hammer hit. Almost silent. They use different terms than silencer, can, suppressor to avoid any conflict with the ATF.

"Moderator" and "regulator" is what I see most often.
