Used to own land in a rural county in Nebraska...you could tell which landowners had paid their taxes by the condition of the roads to their place. Once ALL adjoining landowners had paid their tax bill, road graders were there making roads smooth.

Thats where I will be tomorrow. The tires were on the truck when I bought it. Dealer put new shoes on prior to sale.
Actually, discount may have a warranty in their system (kinda). I had just purchased a set of tires for my other truck (different size and tire) when I got this one. I then needed a set of lug nuts for the truck. Instead of adding a vehicle, they edited the profile of the other truck. For example, I took it in and they rotated and balanced these for free, and I did not see the old truck in the list of vehicles linked to me.

Just today I got a call from "2". No more numbers, just 2. I mean, when even the scammers are too lazy to fake a complete number...
I can beat that. I got a call from all zeros. When I tried to block it, my phone threw an error because it was an invalid number.

The same thing happened to me. Sounded like an older gentleman, so I don't think he understood me telling him the number was spoofed. I had to block him.

I finally have a grievance worth mentioning.
So, I have a coworker/office mate (the two of us do the same job) and we worked together on a job today.
He and I are pretty much opposites. He?s wound way too tight, takes everything too seriously, and the way he works is inefficient as fuck.
About half way through the day I was fantasizing about punching him in his Adam?s apple.
The work we did is an annual thing and we team up because it?s typically way easier with two people.
I seriously think I could have gotten the job done just as fast by myself and not had to watch him pacing all over the place nervously and fidgeting with things that don?t need to be fidgeted with causing them to have to be constantly fidgeted with.
Been a while since he and I have had an actual, hard core, profanity laden argument so I think we?re overdue.

These hacks threw another paper in my yard. I called again and they told me that I had received a telemarketing call to my home line and had made a $5 payment for a year subscription. My home telephone is required for me to get internet for my ISP, but the line is not even ran into the house from the demarcation box, much less a phone actually connected to it.
So, some telemarketer called my phone number, got no answer, and subscribed my address to their rag. Even paid the $5 to subscribe for a year. I checked my accounts to ensure that the fee didnt hit my stuff.

So, several years back, the neighborhood paper pusher rang my doorbell. At this time I still enjoyed the Sunday paper for its puzzles. ads, etc., So I wrote him a $20 check for a one year scrip of "weekends, Wednesdays (for the grocery ads/coupons) and holidays", and a some free Rockies ticket vouchers.
About 3-4 months in, I get a call from them stating I never paid. I informed them that I had paid my carrier with a check the day I signed up, and that I had the receipt showing Paid In Full, with the check # noted.
OK, they say. We'll check into it.
I did some follow up of my own, and sure enough, my check was never cashed. They did call back about 4 months or so later, wanting me to pay again, at least for the portion of the year that I had received. I politely but firmly told them that I had paid in full, in good faith, at the outset of my subscription, and that the service had become completely erratic and unreliable and since the check was never cashed they were free to cancel my subscription at that point.
I continued to be delivered papers inconsistently for several more months, and even received a renewal notice in the mail... Quality operation right there. [pileoshit]
Ok. I'm now under the distinct impression that all insurance companies can go fuck themselves with a cactus dildo covered in Ebola sauce.

Over the last couple of years, I've been getting increasingly frustrated trying to get medications/supplements out of the child safety packaging without destroying it in the process. Everything from Dayquil to Nicorette...oh, and try get one of those open halfway through a two hour flight with a dull fingernail.
Same thing with those damn anti-shoplifting blister packs that many items come in. That shit ought to come with complimentary band-aids in the package.
