View Full Version : 5.7 Earthquake in Salt Lake City on 3/18/20
Didn't even hear about this yesterday. Shut down the airport and everything for a little bit. 5.7 on the scale. The trumpet fell out of the angel's hand on top of the church. USGS says Utah has an earthquake over a 5 about every ten years, and over a 6 every 50 years.
Here is the article.

Read that earlier. It was buried on Fox so I just assumed I missed hearing about amid the virus pandemonium. I think it was the governor who said, "That's the last thing we need right now" or something close. He's right.
I have a video from our data center in SLC... pretty neat to see all of our servers shaking side to side ;)
The Mormons are already good preppers, but I suspect that sent them into overdrive.

Supposedly NASA warns there might be an asteroid strike soon.

So, if we get whacked by an asteroid or two, will that kill the coronavirus?
Maybe.
Saw this on the news yesterday. There was some concern that it knocked out a coronavirus hotline.

Virus, earthquake, tornadoes, snowstorm (20 inches up here so far), asteroids....the end is nigh! [panic]

I'm glad I did not mention the space aliens...but don't worry the Space Force can handle it.

Haven't read it, but you can find one of those click-bait articles on any given day of the month. It's a product of a news system that profits on headlines suckering in clicks.
I guarantee, whenever you see a headline "NASA predicts asteroid may hit earth soon!" It's either a .0001% chance in 2558, or a .00000000001% chance tomorrow.
Sure, technically it "could" happen. Just like Jennifer Aniston could fall in love with your picture on Facebook and send you all of her money.
