View Full Version : Corona Virus Member Reach Out Thread

There are a lot of people on this forum that I think can help other people in a time of need, potentially do help other people in a time of need, etc.

There are also a lot of cranky old bastards on this forum, or people that nobody would imagine needs some help.

This is a pretty trying time, no matter what the reason, and I feel that some of our members may need some extra help.

The grocery stores are about empty. People are talking about complete shutdowns, etc.

Financially, physically, emotionally, etc., if you need some help, please reach out in this thread, or to members that post in this thread as willing to help.

I know for sure that we will be on your side, if you need help, etc.

Just post or PM as required.

Thanks,

-John

This. I have more stored reserves than a child. My wife and I are both working from home.

Silly Dave, your supposed to eat the children. Feed them lots of bbq beforehand so they marinate from within.

This lowly "Gong Shooter" will help where I can in the Evergreen / Conifer area when I can.

[MOD: Gong Shooter no more. You earned a new title. I thought about using "Brothers Keeper", but I didn't think it'd come off as I intended. -Ginsue]

Same down here in southern colorado. If you need some food, I have a few goats to spare. We also have fresh eggs and such.

We are still working, so it will have to work around 24 or 48 hour shifts.

We are in NW Arvada, please don't hesitate to reach out for anything.

After watching the level of hording and FU behavior I have witness in the last several months, I realize more than ever that helping each other be better/happier is so more important than competing against each other and winning (whatever that is).

Going to a gun match, playing basketball, shooting pool playing chess, getting a contract, working, raising children is great. Let?s do our best and play hard, succeed, but in the end does it really matter who won or lost? In my opinion now, not really.

I say this after a lifetime of engaging in win/loose activity.

Just my opinion, anything you need let me know.

THIS! This is the community, the family, that we are and that the staff has fought to maintain (with lots of help from many members).

I've seen less trying times since I've been a member here where we've come together to aid our members in their time of need. We're in a particularly difficult time where I know folks will need help. I know this COAR family will do everything possible to help our members in need - but we can't help if we don't know your needs. If you or your family has a real need, PLEASE reach out and ask for help - there is no shame in ever asking for help!

While I may ruffle feathers from time to time I hope that everyone here - everyone - knows that you are valuable to this site and to me. Be safe. Be smart. And if you are a spiritual person, pray for the health and well-being of everyone.

Ginsue out.

Thanks Ginsue for the community you offer.

It's very special, as illustrated by all the offers to help in this thread.

Count me in if anyone on the SE side of the metro area needs a hand. I'm lucky enough to still be employed, but I know a lot who are in challenging situations all the sudden. I think things are going to start getting tough for a lot of people over the next few weeks.
