Drove by Mollys in Lakeside and the line was 120 yards long at least. Denver shut their stores down I suspect the Governor will follow suit.

So if we have a bottle of Pappy 23 year, and secondary was already high.......;-)

Just kidding. Probably shouldn't be drinking while trying to not catch a bug anyways.

Well, funny thing about that - Ibotta had $4 off bottles of Everclear for months before this....Maybe I should dig out some tinfoil.

I picked up a fifth for summer backpacking (makes a good alcohol stove fuel). I wonder if everclear will be first or last out of the door with the LLS runs.

Yeah, I went by Bevy's in Parker an hour ago, figgered I'd just grab a 750 of Woodford Reserve to sip on. Holy shit - musta been at least 200-250 people standing in the checkout lines! When I finally got to a register, he told me about the Denver thing, and that the store went from dead to insane in hours.

Denver already backed off that stupidity. Liquor stores can stay open if they social distance.

The Gbner did attempt to close Liquor Stores & Pot Shops, but did a 180 * on that very quickly, as long as patrons be calm & collected. Wonder what/who changed his mind ? People are still running scared and are hoarding booze & pot now.

That's funny. Handcock will be very popular in the next election. Even his brethren won't vote for him. There can be consequences for bad face time.

If liquor stores close, there will be additional burden to hospitals, as people will go into withdrawal as well as poison themselves on non-ethanol alcohols.

Long time ago,I smelled heavy mouthwash smell from homeless guy talking to people.

Street smarter dude told me that they get drunk out of listerine.

When I was working a hurricane in Florida in '18 they shut down the liquor stores in that county. Lasted 24 hours before they were open again. I forgot all about that and should have remembered in this situation.

I say close them. The cops aren't responding to theft, right? There's some expensive bottles of Scotch I've had my eyes on, once I won the lottery. This would be a good second place.

Perhaps it was a tax revenue decision.

I watched Hancocks speech live and when someone asked about LQ stores, he he said something along the lines of “Well many may not agree with this, myself included, but liquor stores and MMJ recreational stores are deemed non essential.”

Sorry about that Bob. I was reading back through this and realized I might have totally missed the context of your post.

My response was directed at the folks wrapped around Argonaut Liquor in Capitol hill.

And I will say that the dividers in the 30 packs of Keystone Light function pretty well when repurposed as vital zone targets. Just about the right size. [Beer]

Yeah the Denver Gov took a step back about three hours after the initial announcement and retracted the closures. But during that time I did manage to find two bottles of Bookers for a decent price and added those to the shelf.
