Your local petroleum engineer would love to give you a car wash, while you decide which gas station to go to.

Tip him/her well.

I've seen gas under $2.00 pretty much everywhere. Why hasn't diesel come down yet? It's the same it has been for months.

Sam's on Grant is currently $1.45

One of my best friends works on a rig. I have a feeling it wont be for long. His company has stated they keep drilling at $32. I would wager that after the current hole is done, they stack the rig.

Trucks are probably running overtime with resupplying stores. Commuting is way down, so maybe less demand on gas?

Yeah, I'm bummed about this for reasons. Wonder how long it will last.

All gas in the denver metro comes from suncor or Sinclair.

Which is top tier?

Consumer are savings lots and lots of money relative to jobs lost. Sucks for people in that industry, but gas price is somewhat also proportional to inflation.

Saudis most likely have lower fixed cost on infrastructure than Russia, and other opec. Different era than back in the 70s where opec tries to cut production to raise price to make more $.

Oil price will bounce back. Also great way to go long on crude LATER ON.

OKC gas is hovering just over a dollar. Diesel is down to about $1.70, too. But who's really driving anywhere?

I took one of my dogs to the vet yesterday. Looked like a normal day in town here. People must not be getting the word about trying to stay home here. Or they don't care. Not sure which.

I think the Sauds and Russkis resent American production.

Did this price war start prior to the acceleration of the virus or concurrent?

Not at all. I had rough idle and other issues with Sam's gas. Never had that problem again once I went to being specific about Top Tier vendors. Their detergent packages work. My usual stops are Costco and Sinclair.

Traffic here in the 'springs reminds me of what this town was like back in the 80s and 90s.

...the roads are just wider now.

Read a post on a WA gun forum that their vet was having the owners and pets wait in their cars until called for their turn with the vet. Keeps people from mingling in the waiting room. Not a bad idea.

I hate waiting at the vet. Everyone lets their dog run around the waiting room. "Hey, think you could keep your German Shepard's head out of my cat carrier?" "Oh he's fine." "Looks like he's about to need surgery to me."

The vet I used in Clarkston (WA) was always very busy. Since I left before this became a big deal, I'm not sure how they're handling things. Not unusual to see 10 or more people with their dogs in the waiting room...the fairly small waiting room. They did have a separate waiting room for cats.

Cramer sees oil plummeting below $20 per barrel on dual coronavirus-price war crises

CNBC's Jim Cramer said he does not think the price of oil is done falling as it faces demand and supply shocks.
"I think oil takes out $20," Cramer said on "Squawk on the Street."

With U.S. oil trading around $21.50 per barrel early Friday, prices would have to fall more than 7% to go below $20.

If demand is falling, and supply is rising, the price will go down.

Demand is down, due to Coronavirus restrictions
Supply is up due to Russia, Saudi (OPEC) price war

Basic economics, and terrible for the economy worldwide.

Yes. I got laid off after 21 years in the patch. No one is hiring. Thinking of a job with RTD/Lightrail. I was in Culinary School at Johnson and Wales, but it is a crappy time to be a Chef as well. Not much of an office type guy. But right now, I'll push a broom with a smile knowing I have an income.

I am extremely interested in oil. I do have a very very small short (ETF/ETN) position in oil right now ( one that I forgot to sell on accident).

It will bounce back for sure. [I dont have any metrics but] My guess of demand getting back to normal would be about early June, and supply would be back to normal about august assuming same level of outputs.

It will be interesting labor day week for oil investors.

If they stopped taxing it that would probably be something like .25c / gallon fuel

Close. OK fuel state and fed taxes gas/diesel = .38/.44 gallon
