View Full Version : What just happened?
Why does it seem like this forum just got rolled back to some sort of backup? Many current posts in multiple threads are no longer there.
ETA: Last post in the Coronavirus thread is from 2 days ago. Funny Pictures goes back to March 4th.

I'm seeing it too.
Looks like everything is there, page counts are just off and it's going to earlier page counts, not going to the latest.
Nope. Last post in the Corona virus thread is this:

Even though as I look at a New Posts search that shows the Ginsue posted tonight in the same thread. Something is really messed up.
Just because you guys are working from home doesn?t make day drinking acceptable.

I'm offended. Who are you accusing of working from home?
...and now things appear to be resolved.
...and no, I didn't sober up from my day drinking. [Beer]
VB's dealing with the same shit as everybody, sometimes even the site needs a drink.
Great. Not only are we dealing with a worldwide pandemic but now the EMP events are kicking in too.
Really going to suck being stuck at home with no electricity, television, or internet.

Signal to start "visiting" neighbors.
Last time I tried to "visit" my neighbor, her husband told me to leave immediately or he'd tell my wife.
TO answer the OP, we've been a bit lazy on performing routine maintenance and it's probably overdue for us to do some server intensive operations to freshen the site up a bit (archive old threads, resync database tables, etc.) It puts a heavy load on the site and slows things down a LOT but it needs to get done. We'll have to schedule some of these efforts for the middle of the night over a few days.
