First off,

Thank you.

Thank you for the great community and all the wonderful content over the years.

I know it won't make any bit of difference, but I need to get it off my chest.

I do not agree with the removal of the Corona thread and now any discussion of what is going on in our world gets deleted.
I get that it's not my website, I do not get to make the rules. I do choose not to agree to censorship when the information, even negative, is what is going on in our lives right now. This is a first in all our lives, it's a really big deal and the censorship is at every turn, unfortunately even here.
Over some petty drama...

Censorship of current events, when people are being civil about it, is completely wrong in my book.
Your house, your rules...

I may be back after all this is over, if you'll have me back. Who knows.

For now...I'm done.

Take care and stay safe!

Cannot say that I disagree with you, but like you said, not my site, and fortunately the administrative decisions haven't left me losing any sleep, so I'll continue hanging out on my favorite forum.

It was implied (as I took it), that the thread in question was causing undue stress (not verbatim), which was hard to juggle between personal life and virtual life. I would caution anyone in that type of position, to consider a break, as opposed to outright censorship based on stress. Again, not my house, just unsolicited advice based on many years of being in a stressful environment. I mean no disrespect to any of the powers that be, and I have much respect for the owners and moderators of this forum, which is one of the reasons I hang out here.

If you?re still here to see this, best wishes and you stay safe as well.

Hopefully when the BS blows over and everything settles back down you can rejoin us.

In the meantime, enjoy the peace and tranquility of not having to deal with some of the silliness around here lately.

I think a lot of people around here agree with you. Take care, and hope to see you back one day.

Hope to see you soon. It was fun reading and discussing etc.

I think this site is far better than any forums I've been to.
Majority of the forum have a circle regardless of type of forums. The car forum I am regular with have little sissy-turd "circle" of attorney and OB/GYN. I know some well known gun forums favors branch of military, police, nurse, and/or teacher/instructor/professors.

Now the car forum banning 5 members of certain thread over 1 lying MD,and 20 of us (incl 4 big car diy youtuber)
migrating to competitor car forum is another story on a different day. :)

I don't like seeing members leave, and I'd like to think you'll return again. Members have disappeared over the years for reasons much less than the the removal of a thread, for instance.

Like Ray and others inferred, the BS will eventually blow over and get back to normal.

Grime, and any others considering doing the same: You are leaving on good terms. Know that the door is always open should you choose to return.

"Censorship of current events, when people are being civil about it, is completely wrong in my book."

I handed out a few vacations, several threats/warnings in the thread and a shit ton of Pm's related to it. Based on lack of civility the thread should have been closed first week. Civil it was not.

If you need to leave due to disagreement over content that's up to you but don't try to make it sound like tea and crumpets with grandma.
