Looking at getting a 15 cubic yard dumpster, but wanted to be prepared with the general cost in the metro area.

I'm sure several of you deal with this on a regular basis, and others will have had direct experience in the recent past.

So how much should I expect to be spending? TIA

ETA This will be for general yard cleanup debris and some other ordinary refuse. No construction waste, concrete, heavy stuff, etc.

Your gonna have to call around to see who has the cheapest rate. Your gonna be in the 200-300$ range.

Thanks. Looking for general range info before I spend a couple hours on the phone calling around.

$200 - $300 seems a little optimistic to me. When I rented one several years ago they were more than that as I recall. But, it's been a while so beast could be correct.

A quick check of one company shows $355 for 7 days that includes up to 3 tons. https://www.affordablerolloffs.com/dumpster-size-price/

Another was $450 for the 15 yard rolloff.

A roll off type dumpster can cause alot of damage to concrete pad or driveway if driver is careless or if used in same area for long period of time. The regular bounce up onto truck and bounce off when dropped acts like a 5000# hammer blow to the concrete. Will destroy typical warehouse/commercial park parking lot in couple years. Roll offs less than 20yds were not as bad and 40 yds were worst of course. Just an FYI.

Been a few years but you might be able to get 15yds $200-300/dump. My last here in the country was $340/dump for 20 yd.

That site didn't some up in my searches. Good info.

Hope the drop and pick up are smooth, as I think it's going on concrete driveway. Should only sit about 5 days.

Short time should not be an issue. [AR15]

Considered the “Bagster”? Home Depot sells you a 3 yard fabric dumpster of sorts for $36, you fill it with up to 3300 lbs and arrange pickup. WM picks it up for $120. Additional bags picked up for $95.

I've used Sam's Hauling and littledumpsters.com and found both to offer the most reasonable rates for week long rentals over the dozen or so I've called. The 20yd I rented from littledumpsters last year only cost $25 to extend for an additional week when my project went long. Think the first two weeks were $300'ish.

Sam's Hauling has great prices for that 5 day range.

Rented one once, seems like it was littledumpsters.com, and around $130-$150 range. But several years ago when we had all the doors, windows and trim replaced. Need to do it again and flush out a buncha shit we've accumulated.

I had a 20yd dumpster picked up last week. It was around $500 to have it for the week. The wife ordered it from Waste Management and I won't recommend them. It was a five day rental that they dropped off late Monday afternoon and arrived for pick up first thing Friday morning. More like a 3.5 day rental.

This a big concern for me having it on the street, instead of my driveway. If you recall, I'm over near your Jamaica house.

I've been trying to get my neighbor to go in on one with me for the last couple years, but he's too cheap. I'm sure he'll help himself to it while I'm at work though.

This is the main reason. having some yard work done, and working with the yard crew to get a larger container than they suggested to get rid of extra accumulation of "stuffs".

Already not a huge fan of WM. I avoid them for anything if I can help it.

Sam's was on my radar, but littledumpsters will be checked out.

I used 5280 Waste Solutions a few years back and they were easier to work with but their rentals were only 3 days and they had lower weight restrictions.
