Tavor 7

Gotta say. Really digging the Tavor in 7.62x51.

It's a solid 2 MOA gun.

Shooting 168 gr Noslers with 43 grains of Varget (2650 fps) the ballistics line up nearly perfect at each of the BDC lines on my Vortex 1-8.

100, 200, 300, 400, 500 yards are almost dead on. 600 yard line was about 10 inches high (group avg). Gun not really meant for anything past 500 in my opinion. Minute of man group averages reliable to 500 but only just.

What really struck me was that recoil is more akin to a 5.56, very pleasant for a 308. Noticeably lighter than my M1A.

That touching group was at 50 yards while I was first setting up scope. Should meet up sometime. I'll let you finger bang my MDR and I can see what the Israeli competition is like. My usual news blogs have been pretty silent on the T7 and TS 12 since they came out.

I havn't gone out to an outdoor in ages, I'm bad about collecting more than shooting honestly. Last few times I've just gone to indoors. Going out from Frederick would still be better than going to pawnee, never been to Byers before.

Those things are heavy, and it's good to know the recoil is light, I was wondering why they didn't include a rubber pad like the 5.56 versions.

Yeah, I almost ordered the pad when I ordered the gun, but glad I didn't. Didn't seem needed at all.
