View Full Version : 2020 fireworks shows?
So, anyone have any fireworks shows that they are aware of that aren?t cancelled?
Probably going to get out on the motorcycle tomorrow evening and see what I can find.
There’s one at Bandimere Speedway tomorrow night after the races.
Riding a motorcycle on the 4th of July? Has Gov. Polis not banned that?? Way more likelihood of death or hospitalization than a certain virus floating around. #SaferatHome

I believe Keystone and Frisco are a go.
Found what looks like a pretty accurate list if anyone else is interested.

It gets worse.

Jefferson County District Court granted the order to stop the speedway from holding a gathering of more than 175 people for its racing event Saturday.

If it was a Bureau of Land Management event, officials would give it a green light and two thumbs-up.
There’s several on the north side. Brighton, Firestone, Windsor, Loveland and others.

Label it a protest and do what you want.

I'm under a ban. Whole county is dry as a tinder box. Some jackasses already set part of the 'hood on fire. Meh...I'll be standing by with my hoses.

Still need that like button.

My son and his girlfriend managed to buy motorcycles just before "you know the thing" hit. His first Harley !!! He's looking to do the same thing tomorrow night.

Yeah. It?s become somewhat of a tradition for my wife and I. We head out around dusk and ride around until the fireworks start and we usually stop somewhere and watch the show.

Come a few blocks north to my neighborhood, Ray. The view from our park (Homestead Hills) is sensational. We just watched Erie?s show that they said they were canceling, but still did, just a few minutes ago. We are seeing a bunch of other random stuff all over.

enjoy the 4th celebration while you can.
There's already a few groups calling for an end to this holiday.
Saying, while it's main purpose is highlighting freedom. It fails to account for the slaves and other minorities who built the country.

I should be able to see at least three shows from my house, Timnath, Loveland, and Windsor.
I doubt that it was formally planned, or legal, but North Boulder Park for the past two hours has been outstanding! Multiple ninny's on Nextdoor are begging people to call the police but I've yet to see a single marked vehicle. The fireworks are really quite impressive, I suspect this cost someone a fair bit of money to put on.

Colorado Springs has been going non stop for hours. Fountain looks like Baghdad!!! Didn’t spend a dime and had front row seats to some good stuff. The rain help and I don’t think the cops had any impact. There is a thick haze in my neck of the woods.

Like a war zone up here in Wellington. Diablo shells were very nice this year!!!

I saw an aerial video of Denver, crazy the amount of fireworks going off.
Yeah my neighborhood is very firework aggressive (June - August, every year), and tonight tops them all. I feel silly saying it, but it sounds like a war zone. More fireworks from all the neighbors than a firework show, and 4 times as long. Still going strong now. I bet we'll hear mortars until 3-4am tonight.

But, but, but... where are all the "But mu dog..." and "Consider the vets with PTSD" threads this year? Or maybe that's Nextdoor I am thinking of.

I didn't mind it too much until it started to carry into the am. Where the hell did people get the money to splurge on fireworks on the magnitude I'm seeing ?

Didn't hear or see any fireworks out at the farm. Rained from 6-10pm(woohoo we needed it and more) so we didn't even hang on the porch til after 10.

My neighborhood was INSANE!! We participated too with about $1200 worth of Wyoming’s finest noise makers. It was fun as hell. People cheering at each other’s efforts. Contests, challenges, calling out lame fireworks. Duds being boooooooo’d Mortar racks of 12 blastin not stop. 30# of meat on the smoker all night. Best 4th in a long time.
I love the 4th. I put on a show at my sisters house. I got a lot of cheers from neighbors.

The rain let up in Colorado Springs at just the right time. Tons of small neighborhood displays despite some of the complaining ninnies. The city did a great job organizing official displays. Was feeling a little under the weather or I'd have gone out and viewed more.
I love some of the panorama displays from LA after Garcetti tried to shut down the Fourth.
The big Foxtrot-Uniform to Leftist politicians gives me some hope for the country even though I know most of it was sheer stubbornness in doing what we want to do (which is also responsible for the uptick in pandemic cases). There's a median point and it's nowhere near where the Leftists want it to be (or the mainstream media claims it to be).
Do you have any links to firework footage?

I watched Loveland's and then driving back into Greeley on HWY 34 was impressive. The entire city was covered in mortars. This 4th was a great release of stress from everything going on. God bless America!

I saw the LA video, and hell yeah to Bandimere! I think overall across the board people are tired of being told what to do, the only question is, will these same people vote for freedom in November?

I've never seen such an awesome fireworks show in my neighborhood as I did this past weekend.
People must have spent some serious $$$, they were everywhere.
Just sat outside and looked around enjoying the show.
Looking from west to east in COS, we could see at least fifteen large displays that lasted over an hour.
It felt good to see all of that.
Plenty of good stuff in the neighborhood in addition to the various displays around the city.

Just found this on the roof of my shop (metal roof). It's 7 1/4" long so I don't know how big it was before it was fired. I know there was quite a show from the locals in my little town on the 4th. I have no idea on the fireworks laws here.
