My youngest son joined the Air Force in July 2003. He got his line number for MSgt in 2015 and sewed it on in 2016. Shortly after they took his official photo. Only took 4 years to get the pictures from him. He just went over 17 years and has 7 combat tours under his belt. He's who I wanna be when I grow up.

Yes it is, but where's he been? We haven't seen him on the site since before you left Colorado.

Congratulations to you and your boy, BG. You have a lot to be proud of. Give him my gratitude for his service. He?s serving alongside my step brother, who joined in 2005 and has likely been on several of the same tours. Good luck growing up to be like your son though. That?s a bit bass-ackward.

He's been way up north for a while. Travels a lot training and certifying guys.

Seems like just a very short time ago I was at his BMT graduation. But it was 17 years ago.

Very cool, BG. I’m extremely unfamiliar with AF uniform items. What’s he do?

ETA: ok, after some googling I *think* he’s a TACP?

just noticed the Bronze Star w/V device.

you raised a badass, man!

That is fantastic. You must feel ten feet tall and covered with hair to be the father of such a hero! :)

Definite hero material there. Good on you.

Now tell him to check in once in a while so we can thank him in person.

Awesome! Congrats from me too!

My grandson is just beginning his career in the Navy, but the Covid-19 Plandemic has really screwed up his experience so far. Little training, little learning, can't even use the gym.
