Why not, there's a lot of men who enter prison. Only to identity as women down the road.
if she wants to be a man, why not let her live with the men... or is that cruel and unusual punishment?

Gen Pop male prison. Decisions have consequences. Even when you're too young to be making those decisions. If "he" has to spend 40 years in segregation, alone with no contact with anyone, even better.
I think I'll start a pool on when "he's" going to demand taxpayers pay for his sex change while "he's" in prison.

She wants to go to the men's jail, get pregnant, sue the state for something and get a sissy judge to change her sentence to time served & probation so that she can raise her prison baby.
Rogan had a recent interview about the recent uptick of young girls wanting to transition into men. It's both sad and scary.

It is never safe to assume someone’s gender and living a life where people will naturally assume the correct pronouns for you is a privilege that not everyone experiences. Choosing to ignore or disrespect someone’s pronouns is not only an act of oppression but can also be considered an act of violence.
Well, I guess I'm an oppressive, violent person. Aside from this post you'll never hear/see me use made up bullshit like "ze" or "hir". If you're a woman I'll likely treat you like one. Same with men. If I can't tell I'll probably ignore you.

So is thinking one can fly. We don’t entertain those thoughts of others when they are 100 feet above the ground. She is either mentally ill, or not (and thus playing a game). If the former, she belongs in a place she can get help (which she can’t, since the DSM now ratifies insanity), or she needs to be executed for murder.

Eh sometimes, but not the majority of the time. That kind thing is not all that far from the liberals "They're only bad because someone made them bad" platform. Some people just suck, and their parents have nothing significant to do with it beyond contributing genetic code. Absent evidence, I'm more in the "each person is responsible for their own decisions" camp, although more correctly, I'm in a "I wish we did more about mental illness research/diagnosis/segregation" camp, and I absolutely agree that "disphoria" is a serious mental illness with lots of co-occuring issues including increased suicide risk. It's unfortunate that it's en vogue. I can only imagine if people reacted the same way with clinical depression, e.g.:
"My daughter came out as clinically depressed"

They would open themselves up to a lawsuit when violence happens.
And what precedent would it set for future cases?
A man facing time in a federal maximum security institution could claim he's a lady inside and be sent to a women's prison.

Whatever ?bits? you have between the legs, that?s what prison you go to. There are males with their twigs n berries, that have full on boobs requiring a bra, but as long as the genitalia is that of a man, they go to male prison. Likewise, if you have a ?man in a boat? but have a full on beard, you go to a female prison.

If you want the boring truth, it's a no win answer that will most likely defer to the women's system. No matter what, the subject is likely going to claim some great atrocity has been committed upon his/her rights, and either way, our system may as well have the consistency of swiss cheese for enabling that. I think it's a reasonable assumption that they defer to putting him/her into a womans prison unless him/her demands to be put into the mens, which could constitute "waiver". Many of the earlier responses are tongue-in-cheek and/or for entertainment value; we're not at a conference table in the DOC seriously mulling over which prison director is less likely to be sued under 11 U.S.C. ?1983 by a cross dressing murderer.

That wasn't my point in regard to the parents. I'm not saying that this gal was the product of her parents making her bad. The parents were directly involved with the gender transition/medical treatment of a minor child.
IMHO the kid should finish developing and getting through the hormonal angst of being a teen before they start monkeying with biology.

You may be incorrect here. Minors don't need to get their parents permission to be prescribed hormones, or even to have their breasts removed. When I get home I'll link to the Rogan interview in case anyone is interested. Historically the rate of true cases of gender dysphoria are 1 in 10,000. Currently the rate is 2 in 100 in highschool students alone. According to this lady's research who wrote her book about it.
Here's the interview I've been referencing. The lady is pretty upfront about not being a scientist or anything. Just a reporter that kept getting contacted by people and writing a book about it. Pretty scary stuff.
The basic finding is that young girls that would have historically been bulimic, or into cutting, are turning "trans" instead right now. It's a total trend. I think it's worth the time. It is interesting and frightening.

Legally they will place Her in a SHU in a female prison. I use SHU as that's all i can remember from what's it's called in CA DOC. Special Housing Unit. For the trans, queer, openly gay prisoners. Including those with aids/hiv. Both in male & female prisons. What they call it in CO, who knows?
Option B would be housed in an isolation unit. But i believe each state has a specific name for that section.
However, all people like that are segregated from genpop.
Other than that, shims on her own. Like any other housing section in the joint. It's survival of the fittest.

I have non problem executing the mentally defective if the commit a crime deserving of it. No different than putting down a sick dog.
