Looking to put a scope on a 300 Blackout.

Any recommendations?

I would like to keep it under $1K.

Application?

8.5” Barrel AR15. I started with a red dot and found it quite effective out to 200 with supers and 50 with subs when shooting steel. 200yd zero with supers is roughly zero at 35yds and 3.8” high at 100. This puts my sub 1“ low at 25&50. Best all purpose zero I‘ve found for single point of aim.

I am currently using a TA-33 with 300Blk reticle and piggyback RMR. RMR is zero’d at 50/150 with Supers. Reticle has hold points for both subs and Supers. Works ok, not a huge fan of the TA33. I have never adapted to the small field of view.

I will probably just go back to a red dot.

Edit: For longer range subs, Gen II Vortex PST 3-15.

Red dot is a realistic optic for realistic employment distances.

For fucking around, a Mil or MOA graduated scale is good.

I have never found BDC trajectories to correspond to anything.
