Picked up a bunch of 7.62x51 140rds sealed battle packs.battle packs are tan in color with no marking on the outside of the package. Can anyone help me identify the country of original or manufacturer?

Looks like SA 7.62x51 boxes. 1440 rds? to a brown plastic case. Average price when sold $140 per case

Yep...looks like South African.
Don't try to reload it...it's Berdan primed.

Thats what I was thinking as they are packed in 20rd boxes and 7 boxes to a tan plastic battle pack for a total of 140 rds

Yeah... I just sold some SA 140-round battle packs for $95 each and the guy couldn't pay me fast enough.

I know i still have the 300 rd battle packs of 5.56 SA. Was offered $200 down here for it. Told him, find me 5k of small rifle primers and it's yours. [LOL]
Decided to give the daughter & s-i-l one of them, along with another 1K of 223, 500 - 308 & if i'm nice 2k of 9mm, when they drop by this weekend. With them being in CA i don't feel they can have too much ammo.

Well I did well picked up (7) 140rds battle packs of the pictured stuffed, (6) 200rds battle packs of Hirtenberger 7.62x51, and a little over 400rds of .308 168gr Fed GMM for about 43 cents a round

Yep...you did really good. In today's market that wouldn't be a bad price for some 5.56mm/.223.

No...this isn't crazy ridiculous. You don't reach that level of ridiculous until you start seeing .22LR at $20 for a box of 50 rounds like we did several years back.

That's true but that's probably coming
South African, good stuff!
I have a couple of South African battle packs. They certainly weren't stingy with the bullet sealant.
