Ok I finally came to the conclusion that I don?t shoot these guns enough and they need to go. But with the current poop storm I have no idea how to price the guns
I have a 5906TSW and a 45x3TSW. The 45 was converted fromSA/DAO to DAO only. I checked the SW forum but mostly found non TSW prices or safe queens in boxes. I think the TSW guns are worth more than the plain versions but not sure how much.
Any help appreciated. After sale money will be repurposed for more guns and maybe a silencer.

I usually search Gunbroker's completed auctions to get a general idea of what people actually paid for a specific firearm.

Keep in mind that how much a gun is "worth" is entirely dependent on the pool of potential buyers. Gunbroker listings, for example, are going to be higher than listings in our own trading post for the simple reason that there are, at most, a few hundred people on our trading post vs the tens of thousands on GB.

Of course, GB means going through the rigamarole of finding an FFL to ship to, boxing up, dealing with payment, etc, while local transactions from the TP are likely to be straightforward and quick, so it comes down to what is more important - money or time?

For me, at least, a quick local sale for cash with no trips to UPS, no looking up FFL information, no GB fees and no waiting for a money order means I'll sell a gun for a lower price just to be over and done with it.

But if you want top dollar and are willing to put up with the complications, on-line sales are likely to get you more $$.

You could pay for a subscription to Gun Digest and use their Gun Values (https://gunvalues.gundigest.com/smith-wesson/tsw-series-tactical-smith-wesson) feature. $4.99/3 days, $2.99/mo or $27.99/yr

A couple places online are selling LEO trade in 5906TSW for $350-$450 depending on condition. Private sellers are a bit higher, some up to $700. Your research results may vary.

Thanks all. I did not find the listing linked to above so thanks for that. Those PD trade ins are a lot tougher than my example and lack the tactical rail. Sounds like try for $450 or so on the 5906 and see where it goes. Need to see where the 45 falls next.
I know it?s weird but if the value is to low I would rather keep it than sell.

That’s not weird at all. Not to most of us, I expect.

This is going to sound dumb, but I've wanted a 5906 ever since I saw Sarah wielding one on the series Chuck.
