View Full Version : NYPD Union Endorses Trump: Democrats Angry

The NYPD Police Benevolent Association president, Pat Lynch, announced the union, in a potentially unprecedented move, is endorsing President Trump this year. Lynch said he couldn't recall the union ever endorsing a presidential candidate.

And democrats are upset. That's right...the democrats are upset. The party that wants to defund the police. The party that stripped the NYPD of $1B. The party that stands by while left-wing anarchists (the democrats stand with them in some cases and call them "peaceful protesters) seize control of police stations and destroy police property. The party that tells their police departments to "stand down" while rioters assault police officers and others and burn cities. The party that has their DAs prosecute officers for lawfully using force to protect themselves. Yeah...those democrats are upset about the endorsement.

I swear...it must be nice to not have a conscience. It must be nice to not have to care about right or wrong because, if you just "feel" it's right then it is right. These people find a way to disgust me more and more every day.

From FoxNews:

New York Democrats said the police union?s endorsement of such a highly unpopular politician within the city was exacerbating tensions between them and the community.

As usual, the democrats are clueless.

From Lynch:

?In our city, we?re going through a difficult time. We have a progressive mayor that?s anti-police; the city council that?s anti-police; and the statehouse is anti-police. So they?re changing the law where it?s becoming impossible to do our job,? Lynch told the president, as reported by the New York Post.

FIFY. Tried to do a strike through of text, but couldn't find the command.

The code has to be entered manually. Brackets with "strike" (no quotes), / to end.

Use a strike command where it starts and a /strike where it finishes, within the square brackets of course.

I see what's happening and I find it hilarious.

"F da police!"

(Police leave)

"Hey, where are you going?"

Democrats not treating police well, doesn't automatically mean that they would support Trump though. He must be doing enough positive things to warrant an endorsement; especially if they've never endorsed a president before.

True, not treating someone well doesn't automatically translate to votes for the opposition but flat out abusing them, calling them -ists and -phobes and haters then providing tools for their enemies to hunt and track them down would tend to drive someone into the arms of the opposition.

Dems were pretty bad toward police during the second Obama term but this year has been orders of magnitude worse. It doesn't take a genius to see what would happen but it does take a special kind of idiocy to act as the Dems have and then be surprised by the outcome.

The Dems are trying to set up police (what's left of them) in a no-win situation. Might as well take their guns away and put targets on their backs.

Civilian police forces should have greater arms than that which the general public may legally own.

It's less to do with the specific weapons than the 'rules of engagement'.

What if the defund police movement is getting encouraged by those that would profit from automation (think AI and robotics) of our LE processes (investigations, contacts, pursuits, etc)?

I get a few text a week from family in NY. It's not so much trump doing positive things. It's what the mayor of NY as well as guv are doing to the p.d. Here's 1 example, out of th ehundreds per week

Gunfight happens where 2 cops are ambushed, 1 perp killed the other wounded. Angry mob gathers demanding justice for the deceased, cops attacked for trying to keep a somewhat civil crowd control. What do the politicians of NY do? The path of least resistance.
Call for an inquiry of the shooting, publicly condemn the heavy handed tactics of the nypd. DEMAND they be fired and or arrested BEFORE an investigation is done. Based on a 3 sec snippet of someones cell phone footage.

Throw in the mayor the day before the 7/1/2020 police academy was to start. Not only defunded it, but shut it down. As in no new cops on the streets.

Along with an overwhelming number taking early retirement. Which the city has now enacted restrictions regarding the number of PD that can file for retirement.

Correct crime, overall is up 75% the last 2 months. Shootings there are giving chicago a run for the money. Suspect ( a returning customer ) arrested sunday morn, multiple felony charges applied. Sunday afternoon they're on the street, with little or no bail required.
