I have been blessed to be able to get two real nice bucks on my in-laws land in central MO. Neither are record book entries but tropies to me the same.
Last years 3 1/2 year old 11 point. Shot this deer with my first built custom rifle.

Naw. That thing is too heavy to carry. Not that you carry when sitting in a tree stand, but heavy all the same. Last years fell to my 280 Ack Imp. This years with a 350 Rem Mag.

Nice to see I wasn't the only one that had some luck in MO this year. I love to go back and hunt with my dad. This buck was in love and it got him killed...and the doe he was after. lol Shot with a savage built up in 260rem.

Northeast MO Adair county. First time I've see a buck that big in person much less got a shot. I was just a bit excited. Yep it is indeed awaiting a mount.

Thats prime Midwest hunting ground there! My in-laws are more in the center part of the state. Howard county. I've been going for three years now. I love hunting in MO!

Congradulations- From what I can tell from my fellow hunters harvesting was a bit down this year. If these first few weeks of December are indication we could have a rough year next year.
That's my boy, GUN TROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You bastard. This year in VA I got a doe a button buck and a 5 pointer with cancer.
Okay guntroll, now that we are best friends, and now that this guy bumped your thread, what is the deal with taking your face out of the picture? You're not doing anything illegal so what's the deal?
Gun Troll is paranoid like Dale Gribble. Plus he doesnt want his magnificent beard to take away from the awesomeness of the buck. It's hard to admire the buck when there is a man like Gun Troll in the picture.

You dick! Your about as bad as me.......Trolling on a CO site from a thousand miles away. What....no comment on my Robert Redford look??? I'd claim to be his twin if he wasn't a suspected flaming lib.
Stuart, I just don't feel comfortable placing my image out on the net. I'm relaxed in some places and tight in others. I don't know why really.
I bet Dale Gribble can't explain it either.

Nice. Good to see somebody getting some. Tell the details. Did you stalk, wait?

Sitting in the tree for 7 days. My family has combined about 600 acres and 50 or so tree stands. Nothing fancy here with this one. Watching the wind. Watching my odor (which is hard to do at times[Tooth]) and being patient. I'd like to hash up some exotic story but it ain't so. Patience and superb shot placement is all that it took to seal the deal. The hardest part was watching lesser deer (bucks) walk around for the six days prior and knowing that I had only seven days to get it done. Last day was the one. I got my doe the night prior. I'm just as proud of her in ways. She was mature and a dry sack. I hate killing mommas. Popped her at 10 yards in the neck.
The end.

31 and I'm a thinker (I like to think). Nothing better to work out your life's problems like being in the woods alone......with guns.
I"m not a thinker. I like to hear dogs chasing my deer and not know if its a buck or a neighbors dog until I shoot it and walk up on it. It like pot luck!!!
