Jack it up and see if the front wheels spin freely. I had an old truck that one brake had collapsed internally. It had failed in such a way that the fluid could only flow one way. It got so bad that the wheel was extremely hot. I changed the rubber brake hose and that fixed it. So I bled out all the fluid and also changed the the other side hose. Was OK after that. It also could be an alignment problem. Check for loose ball joints etc.

BP was making a joke about the spat Trump got into with Goodyear because they banned MAGA hats in their work locations.

I had a 1975 Pinto Wagon with the fake wood trimmed sides I drove thru my high school years. Coolest car ever.
87 grand Wagoner with the fake wood trim. I would love to have that back tbh, that thing was a beast!

Did ya check tire pressure recently ? With the hot weather, your pressure could have went up and caused a slow leak until the pressure went down below the leak point and is now low in that tire.
Do a curb check on the passenger side that you can recall ?
Oh, wait, I missed the sarcasm in that........... [gohome]
Based off of some of the vehicles you guys drove in high school I?m guessing some of you weren?t exactly popular with the ladies.

If I wanted to impress the girls on a date I'd drive my dad's 74 Monte Carlo with the 454 and maroon, landau roof.
If I really wanted to impress the girls I drove the Pinto.

My brother had one of those.... only in yellow. Bright yellow. Rolled on.

I had a blue 1973 Monte Carlo with black vinyl top my Junior and Senior years! Swivel Captain chairs and plenty of room in the backseat!!
A lot of horsepower for a dumb kid back in the 80’s!!!

Well, I did drive a turd-brown 79 Datsun 2 door, which certainly didn't help matters. But in fairness, I don't think it was the primary factor in why I spent prom night playing Dungeons & Dragons.
'71 chevy Impala. Originally gold with white hard top. My dad and I painted it completely tan for some reason. I guess I was ahead of the curve on FDE. LOL
4 doors, and you could ride 6 comfortably, 7 if you didn't want to crowd the driver, 8 if you had too.
Huge trunk as well.
Treated it like a truck during pheasant season. Undercarriage was polished clean by the stubble, and we didn't start any fires, thank the heavens.
Sent from somewhere...

Yep...I remember those swivel seats. A Peter Frampton tape in the 8-track. Way cool. It's a good thing gas was cheap back then cuz I could get around all weekend in the Monte Carlo for $2 or $3...once I learned there were an infinite number of positions for the gas pedal. Mostly for me it was all the way up or all the way down. Thing sounded like a C-130 taking off when you put your foot in it.
Sux about your left leaning truck. [Poke]
My first was a yellow '69 Ford Limited station wagon. It had a 390 and a rumble seat in the back. [Driver]

It was not.
Second was a Datsun B210. It wasn't hard to get it airborne. Had all the power of a dung beetle.

‘74 Ford Courier pickup. All the power of Ah Pook’s B210, with half the chick-magnetism.

Funny. Regardless of Trump or BinBiden, I like tires/tyres which sponsors current F1 (F2 and F3 too). So, I [try to] do Pirelli and Hankook.
Or, anything that is good quality and fits my budget.
Goodyear tires has been amazing during 90s. Last good year tires I've had was during 1997-1999.

I drove the family 1972 Pinto Squire, blue with faded vinyl wood trim, in high school. Always seemed to have problems with the starter solenoid. I could roll start that thing like a champ. Parked uphill in the school parking lot in the morning and would start it in reverse out of the parking spot in the evening, and off I'd go.
Worked pretty well for a high school kid living in Oregon when a couple of guys could load it with camping gear and take off to the mountains. Had some fun drifting that thing on logging roads getting out to do some stream fishing. Was not a cool car, but it beat walking. Killed that car going over Raton Pass in the summer of '83.

Probably because it ran on regular gas and didn't have a catalytic converter. [Coffee]

Hell I could fit a queen size matress and a keg in the back and did!
Had a steady GF from freshman to mid junior year until I wrecked her just cherried out 66 impala......long painful story
Funny how a political thread quickly spun into a bunch of guys reminiscing about their high school days.
Its because I think we all are over the bs so might as well think about something better.
Last of the 401 v8 American Motors production....I use to be able to rev it and watch the gas gauge just drop.....good times

That’s funny, I had a 79 Cherokee with a 401.
What a beast, it had the limited slip and in 2wd there was very little it couldn’t muscle through. In 4wd it was unstoppable.
I bought it from the original owner with 18,000 miles on it, I think it was called the Cherokee Chief, it was loaded to the gills but didn’t have the wood grain. I bought for $750.00 after a hailstorm, it looked like a golfball and I had to replace the windshield but mechanically it was perfect and an absolute beast.

Two doors & a tailgate, with Chief painted on the lower panels ? My brother?s 79 Chief was a vapor locking bitch, when the sun hit noon in the KS. summer, you better fill the cooler with bags of ice, or you?d be waiting for the carb to cool down naturally so you could continue driving.

Yep, like the rubber band on a 10 year old’s balsa wood $.35 flyer.....
In hindsight, specific to this thread, I'll extend an open invitation if anyone wishes to permanently remove their post(s) about their first vehicle, since that is an incredibly common security question on various things. I've removed my own. PM me if you want that done, or feel free to soft delete. It's probably not a major concern here primarily thanks to the use of usernames, but it's not altogether a non-issue either. Consider this a cyber-security reminder not to participate in surveys etc that reveal that information even to friends on social media (favorite vacation spot, first vehicle, place you got married, etc.) as malicious actors can later mine that.

Wasn't actually my car. I just had exclusive use of it for the most part. No one else would drive it. I answer that question with a different car...the first car I actually owned.
