View Full Version : I need some Docs Noterized.
I have been to my bank 3 days in a row. And I have to say they are very lazy or stupid. 3 days and 2 banks can't be bothered to notarize my docs when I need to renew my CCW. IDK if its once they find out they have to get out of their chair or if its the CCW part. But they won't lift a finger to help. Don't get me started on the hoops I have to jump through to renew my CCW when I can do everything else online with no BS. I don't need a cashiers check or notarized affidavit to renew my license or even vote. Not even one to get emissions and stop global change climate warming. Just to get a jacket tax to carry my gun under a coat. Does anyone do Notary Public? Please and thanks.

Ive used a notary @ the UPS store a couple of times.
I hear ya! And like ChickNorris said, UPS, I used them in June for notary on my jeffco renewal
You an Ent Credit Union member? Never had a problem there, though I'd call first to assure your branch has one and they're in.
Never used them but as CN says above, the UPS store.

Change banks, I know, easier said than done.
I called 1st Bank to get some stuff notarized, they said "come on it", 10 minutes later I have my stuff notarized.
Call a 1st Bank by your house and see if they'll help you out. 303 237 5000
You know, you don't have to describe what you are notarizing until you're sitting there in front of the notary.
Just say "I need to get something notarized. Are they in?"
Yeah, get a new bank. Mine has always been willing to notarize for me regardless of what branch I use.

I had a bank employee tell me they couldn't notarize a document i needed done, that day. When asked why, they said. I'm not sure i can notarize, something like this. Ok would you call the bank manager over, please. Mgr shows up, i ask them. If they would start doing the paperwork so i can close my account.
Is there a reason for that? Sure your employee "feels" they cannot notarize this document. Problem solved. Walk out with notarized paperwork and apology from mgr. Once they realize your money is walking, they change their tune. It use to be all they did was witness you sign and notarize that. NOW they want to read what you're doing..

Your local title company will probably be more than willing to help you out as well.

I am guessing you are applying for a renewal of an existing permit that has not expired and is within 120 days of expiration in Jefferson County?
Jeffco Sheriff's office issued mine recently.
The process was entirely on line, taking a self portrait photo with iPhone and submitting credit card payment through Permitium.com website.
I did not see a requirement for a notarized document if there was a current Colorado Driver's License with a valid address.
The only notarized document I see in the requirements is for proof of residency if you don't have any other methods:
PROOF OF RESIDENCY
Accepted forms of residency are:
Government-Issued Photo ID
Driver?s License
Current Utility Bill
Bank Statement
Residential Lease, or Rental Contract
Car Registration
Notarized affidavit of residency
What document are you trying to get notarized?
I had other documents notarized recently at First Bank - walk in, get notarized, walk out - Wear a Mask! No charge if you have an account.

If you have a State Farm insurance policy your agent may be able to notarize you documents. Most agents will do this for free for existing customers.
I like USB but they gave me some BS about "financial documents only" when I needed my trust notarized many years ago. Went to UPS and paid the $5.
I went through the trouble of getting the form notarized, only to have Adams County tell me that they use an in house notary for that part. So check with Jefferson county first. Oh, and it was no trouble for me to actually get notarized, just went to my credit union.
UPS Store is $5. Do it all the time.
If you are a customer of a bank, they will take appointment and notarize it. US bank appointment is about business day away. Most bank does online appt.
I had to notarize 3 document on month of August alone.
So far just 1 this month.
Eta: as people said, If you do not want to wait and just get it done, ups store is recommended for $.

no part of the Weld County CCW process requires notarized documents.This^^^. My original "permission slip" and 2 renewals in Morgan county, don't remember ever having to notarize.

The OP's identifier indicates the location is Lakewood.
I was guessing Jefferson County since that is where Lakewood gets Concealed Handgun Permits.
All wonderful suggestions and one will work for me. I am in Denver. I don't claim it because I am ashamed of the place. But the require notorized docs and to do it through the mail. But I still have to go in to the police station to pick it up but I'm not sure. Should be fun to get through the rioters.
