View Full Version : Police trying to get warrant for Tiger Woods?
So I guess the police are trying to get a warrant to view medical records for Tiger Woods now? What the hell? If no one is reporting domestic abuse, then mind your own damn business. It's not like he hit a fire hydrant and showed up at the hospital with two broken knee caps or something.

I agree, they need to leave the guy alone. I mean holy shit he got in a car accident. Its not like it is murder or he was beating his wife or something. he did what he needs to do.
People just can't leave the celebs alone. they push them to the limit
I get mad when the police start pressing charges for people. I realize it is a thin line when you have minors, mental disabled, or scared wives or something, but in most situations, if no one is really hurt, then the police need to piss off. So she gave him a couple of scratches. Big deal. He doesn't need the big bad police to come to his rescue.
I'm trying not to sound like a cop basher, but quit wasting tax payer money on this crap.

handy having a wife with a golf club "in hand" to break out the windows. that kind of luck is 1 in what? maybe he ought to play lotto:)
Oh I figured it out guys. His wife is white and he is black. They are looking to help boost the FBI's stats on hate crimes for '09. If you don't think she called him the "N" word while she was scratching his face off and chasing him out of the house with a golf club, then you're off your rocker. lol
I disagree. If he doesn't feel he needs police intervention, then he doesn't need it. So what if she smashed a window on his car. What is he going to do? Sue her for the damages? If this was anyone else, they wouldn't even care about it.
Did you consider they are looking to see if he was under the influence of something like alcohol or meds?
And why would they? In my years as a claims adjuster, I've never once heard of the police looking into single car accidents with no serious injuries for people being under the influence. It's a waste of time and money. Like I said, anyone else, and they wouldn't even pretend to be interested.
And why would they?
Were you there? Have you read all the police reports? Did you interview the people that were there?
Get back to me when you have.
The only reason it is on the news is because of who he is. The color of his skin has nothing to do with it.
Don't play the race card with me. The only time the color of his skin came into it, was because I was making a hate crime joke. Any time I've said, "If it was anyone else" I was referring to his celebrity status, not his tan.
I guess you and I just have a different view of what is considered service to the public. Not worth arguing in my opinion.
The job of the police is to arrest people and gather evidence to build cases against them.
They're just doing their jobs.

you gotta remember her husband is a golfer though...so more than likely there are clubs all over the place.

SHe used a 9 iron? Hmm. Tiger should have used his driver. [ROFL1]
Get it? He should have used his driver 'cuz he got in a wreck? Get it?

The initial reports coming from the police were that alcohol was NOT a factor (initially, at least, they didn't suspect drugs).
Regarding the accident, it supposedly occured on a private road inside of a gated community. Typically, this means the police don't have authority unless the owners of the community press charges.
In regards to the domestic situation, my personal feelings are that if the "victim" feels secure and refuses to press charges then it should be a non-issue. I realize that many times abused wives refuse to press charges for fear of what their abusers will do to them later and having the police/DA automatically press charges is actually in their best interest, BUT... I mean really, do any of you believe that Tiger is afraid of any further abuse his wife my consider? What ever happened to common sense?

I agree Ginsue, if Mr. Woods doesn't wish to file charges they should just drop it. Domestic abuse isn't something to be taken lightly, but prosecuting it can be carried to an illogical extreme.
For example: A guy is fighting with his wife/girlfriend, gets pissed off and punches a hole in a door. Neighbor calls police, police officer sees damage to door, arrests man on charges of felony menacing... Happens more often than people would believe.
I don't have all the facts or pertinent information in this case as I was not there to witness it personally, but I do think its possible that this case is being pursued as vigorously as it appears to be so as not to give the impression of a free pass being given to a celebrity.
I may be wrong, but this is how I see it based on the limited info I have.

I know I'm jaded, being that my 2nd job is pizza delivery, but I'm kinda liking all the bad press he's getting right now. He's a stiffing prick. He claims it's because he doesn't carry cash. I guess he's never looked at a credit card slip before and noticed that little tip line.
It's tiger woods.

I only care because of the principles in play here. Would you feel differently had it been one of us on this Board? Perhaps yourself?
The persons involved aren't important, but the way it's being handled is important. Today it's Tiger Woods; tomorrow it's one of us.
