Highlights
In an effort to speed the process back up, the Polis administration is asking state lawmakers to approve $1.3 million in emergency spending to hire more staff as soon as October.
The request (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rcB-MRKBcf1knB881kMRyqJBByHFfHuc/view), announced this week, wouldn?t draw from taxes. Rather, the money would come out of the fees collected when a potential gun buyer requests a background check.
...CBI will start hiring as early as October.

The whole thing pisses me off. I can’t believe we still pay the CBI to perform the NICS.
Hmm. Polis trying to get more guns in the hands of his constituents faster?
Something smells fishy.
I would definitely read all of the fine print.

Oh good, just in time for a Biden win and skyrocketing gun sales.
Read between the lines.
If the money to fund this comes from bgc revenues, the logical conclusion is that they will once again raise the cbi fees.

Further infringing on the access to rights of all gun buyers/owners via caveat.
Just my take on it....

My thoughts as well.
However, it is unlikely to occur. The passage of emergency funding needs congressional approval which will not happen.
