View Full Version : Things that make you go, hmmm
John, you uh workin' again? Nah Jimmy, I was just sortin' some stuff out.
Car falls two stories from the upper deck of DIA parking garage and bursts into flames.

Saw that on the news tonight. Another Darwin award winner.
"hmmm" is absolutely what came into my mind.... how does that happen? Would love to see the surveillance video if it's ever made public.
my guess is one of two things happened, either the driver had a medical issue that caused OR someone hit the gas pedal instead of the break pedal. I guess there could be one other possibility, "here hold my beer and watch this"...

Anyone know what kind of car it was? Maybe a failed self driving feature?
Suicide rates are off the charts right now..

Well, off the ramps anyway.
What? Too soon?

I was under the impression that they were dropping to lower levels...
I know, I know... very bad taste.

Was the train just driving where ever it wanted, or was it, like most trains, on tracks?
And was the bridge new? Doesn't look like it.
It's not like driving a semi down I-25 and needing to move into the center lane when low bridges are ahead. The tracks and bridge are stationary. The train doesn't have a choice... How TF did this happen?

Routed on the wrong track. Probably the human that selected the routing forgot they had high top cars in the line and a low height bridge in the way. Really not that much different than your semi truck in the wrong lane when you realize the person doing the route selection is the truck driver, who is human.
