And my wife is not a happy camper.

Technically not anyone?s fault but we?re still going to be mad at Xcel.

Think I?ll step out back and see how the transformer replacement is going.

That sucks.

Just failed transformer? Or did a critter decide to end it all?

Not sure. Had a friend pick me up around 6:30 this morning. Came home around 11:00 and my wife was not a happy camper. She said the power went out about 6:30 and when I got home the guy was looking at the big green box in my backyard and said one of the elbows was blown off the transformer and that he had a call in and one would be heading this way. I took a shower and then the wife and I came home and they are out back working on it. The new transformer is here and the old one looks to be removed and there?s four guys working on it.

I?m guessing another two or three hours and they?ll be done, even though the guy said once the transformer arrived it would probably be a half hour job to swap it out.

Fixed. Power is back on. Just shy of twelve hours. Not too bad for a Sunday I guess.

I'm guessing your wife might allow you to purchase a generator for the "next" time.

Eeee. 12 hours! That's an awfully long time for them to fix something like that.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Well it was a Sunday. I suppose if you?re going to get called out on your day off and work some overtime you might as well make it worth it.

First the no power crisis then the rude lady at WM...all in one day. How do you endure, dude?

I always wanted a big Generac fueled by propane and wired into the service box. They have ones you control with WiFi now. Pole behind the house has 2 inch cracks in it.

It?s a rough life. Pretty sure I?m being punished for the sins of my youth.
