Although my journey in Southeastern Idaho is coming to a close, I've been pretty spoiled being a member of a private outdoor range/club 15 minutes west of where I live. Tons of shootable BLM land near me too that I've shot on occasionally as well. Guess those days are going to end living in Aurora for awhile. I am aware of Cherry Creek, but that is kind of pricey for my taste to go often. Because the range I go to is so close, I'm used to going 2 or 3 times a month on Saturdays. I'd be happy if I was able to go once every month or two moving to Colorado.

My question is are there any good outdoor ranges in the front range area? I don't mind indoor ranges, but I like the flexibility of being to go from pistol to rifle/shotgun and not worry about the type of ammo if it will damage the backstops. A Multipurpose range or shootable BLM land would be more my thing.

Colorado Rifle Club is about an hour east of Aurora.

Sounds like Aurora Gun Club would be close also. Both have websites that give all their info. No wait list at CRC and they have more to offer. Wait list at AGC and their max range is 200 yds.
