So...tonight was my second run in with a mess of guys shutting down I25 in the Northglenn area. Had at least 5 cut me off at extreme excessive speeds within inches. Called 911 and took the exit at highway 7. Oddly there was a huge line of cars also taking that exit. Spotted somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 cars parked in the lots right off that exit. Pulled in and waited for the Northglenn police to show. Spoke with an officer about it when he got done talking with the people who organized the event. The officer was more interested with being friends with the racers than actually stopping them from trying to kill people on the highway. He flat out told me that he would not take any action against any of them and that it didn't matter that I had dash cam video that could identify them.

Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton has too many of those. That 120th RTD park and ride is their meeting places. Dangerous+Loud+annoying+stupid kids.

The correct procedure is call *CSP (*277). You will be connected directly to Colorado State Patrol.

What the hell?

I would be on the phone with Northglen PD leadership at 8 am tomorrow having a one-way conversation about their operations.

I have experienced enough of these ass hat racers that my care factor for everyone of them pulling a Paul Walker would be zero.

I have already sent a letter of complaint to the chief.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've wished I had spike strips for these jackwagons. I live backing up to Colorado Blvd, just inside the beltway where Colorado turns into a 2 lane road. They come down the hill (northbound) where it's 4 lane, converging into 2, and pass my house at ungodly speeds as loud as possible.

I saw on channel 7 there was an app "report illegal colorado street racing" that goes to the state patrol. I have a bunch of loud, heavily tinted, speeders in my neighborhood that I'm sure are part of this problem. I've called Westminster PD several times with an almost indifferent response. You can hear them all day and into the night up here along 136th and Huron.

A large part of the issue is even with the dash cam they can’t prove who was driving.
When my car was stolen the police pulled it over and didn’t arrest the people in it even the one driving because the people said a mechanic let them borrow it while their car was being worked on.
which was bull shit because I found all sorts of things that pointed to the person driving it as part of the group of people that stole it

Same down south on 25 and even side streets in aurora. My street turns into the autobahn about 9pm. Not only cars but we have atv's DB and little pit bikes doing it as well. Couple nights ago a dude on a pit bike got nailed by an suv and in speaking with the cop he told me and a neighbor that when they try to pull them over the perps just rum knowing that apd can't chase them.

Yeah. My backyard fronts a major street. One day when you guys see a news story about some whacko putting out homemade spike strips it was probably me.

Caltrops are a real, simple to fabricate thing that "fall" off of vehicles all the time........

I can hear the FnF wannabes in Colorado Springs at all hours of the night as well. Won't bother referring them to CSP as I've been singularly unimpressed with CSP ever since a traffic stop where the officer noticed my CCW permit and asked (somewhat belligerently) why I felt a need to carry. I'd rather call EPSO or CSPD.

Well, at least we now know that another video is dropping soon from 1320 video

The little town I live in is pretty quiet with very little traffic. But I swear about 1/2 the people who live here must be deaf judging by the need of some of them to play their multi-thousand $$ car stereos so loud. But, at least they drive slow when they go down my street.

Sometimes I can hear the bass from their car stereos before they even turn off the highway or I can hear them from another street I can see across a field and a pond (at least 1/4 mile away).

It doesn't happen a lot, but it happens at least once almost every day. If they were playing George Strait or Patty Loveless or someone similar it wouldn't bother me.

I've been tempted to find out which is louder...their stereo or a .308 round fired thru the engine block.

I have theory that loud stereos, loud exhaust, aftermarket excessively bright vehicle lights, etc, can provide people who feel marginalized an avenue to feel empowered without excessive cost- "I may live in a ghetto apartment, with ghetto roommates, and have a ghetto job, but for $500 at Car Toys or the local muffler shop, you can hear my 1995 Honda Civic from a mile away!!!"

There is something seriously wrong when people play their car stereos so loudly that it gives me a headache or I can't talk with someone in my passenger seat while in a car 20 feet away with my windows up. Same goes for motorcycles with loud pipes -- I have lost all sympathy for the "loud pipes save lives" crowd in the past few years due to guys blasting up the road with their bikes sounding like an F-16 on afterburner.

It is EXTREMELY SAD that those FOO do not even have any circuit/track time, and they bitch around on a street.
I bet @Ridge here can beat the shit out of em on a real circuit.

Professional driver can circle around the semi-professional driver.
Semi-Professional driver can circle around the street wannabe.

One turd had a N?rburgring decal on his VW Golf , and I asked "Have you drove on the Nordschleife?"
he had no fucking idea what that meant. He goes. "That is Nurburgring." [LOL]

Nurburgring has many sections, and armature FastnFurious turds only knows Nurburgring (the north side). Most of pros do 'GP Strecke' part of N?rburgring.

Hmm. All I got when I read this was that guys with small dicks are trying to compensate for them.

A girl, who used to work for me, was killed by a street racer. He ran a red light at about 80mph. T'boned he rat 2:00am.

I get a ticket for 10 over on the highway (not saying I'm special) but racing isn't worth their time. Sad.
