This was one of the easiest ballots to fill out in years thanks to ballotpedia and ivoterguide. Parsing through the wording on amendments and researching the backgrounds of judges on the ballot for retention usually takes me the longest. Both justices from the Colorado Supreme Court voted in the majority saying it was perfectly fine for the state to impose magazine limits on pistols. Pretty much all I needed to know about those two.

Vote them out so that polis can appoint even further left judges?

My initial thinking was the same as yours, but after thinking about it more, I'm not sure it's the best move. Not that it really matters... has a judge ever been removed by an election? I'd bet most people either skip the judges or just blanket vote retain...

It does seem to be a big fraud but we have the opportunity to express our opinion so IMO we should. Yeah, Polis is a POS who'd appoint even more leftist judges but maybe one of his appointments would get a message about actually abiding by the text of the state constitution and the will of the populace ... One can dream ...

I found ballotpedia today, and enjoyed the resource when working through my ballot. I dug into the Supreme Court judges too, especially on the magazine capacity topic. What they ruled had nothing to do with the magazines, but everything to do with the failure of the argument made to have it repealed. They never got to the heart of the matter. I was hoping to use their position on the magazine capacity topic to make a decision, but seeing as they never had to get that far, it was a bust. So, I shifted (as in years past) to the Colorado Office of Judicial Performance Evaluations... particularly since I had a bunch to go through at multiple levels. It's worth it to read the details on each one, and not just going with the overall vote/decision... since all the ones I got to vote on met "performance standards."

While it really doesn't change anything, there's something about sending off that ballot and calling it done that is freeing. I don't get suckered into the ads, etc. but personally knowing my decision is made somehow makes those ads even more useless than they were in the first place. Too bad there isn't a way to prove you've voted so that the political ads on TV could be filtered out/replaced with non-political ads.

I like to look up the kooks that are running for President. The unaffiliated are quite a mix of characters with positions all over the place.

I think my favorite is Princess Khadijah Maryam Jacob-Fambro. She is going to stop a lot of things. Doesn't say how...

Her best campaign position is "climate change". That's it. I'm not sure if she is for it or against it, but that's a stance I support.

It's a sweet site. Very retro.

For the judges, I usually vote no on all the state level ones, and then look up the county judges to see who's up to what. I did notice Kanye made our ballots for president somehow. Dropped mine of yesterday at the DMV dropbox on my way home since I've never trusted the mail all that much before, and this year even less.

I always read the details of the reports on the judges. Most specifically I'm looking to see if they are fair to both sides. If so I usually vote to keep 'em. If they show up as below average in fairness, they're right out.

Judges are tough. 44(G) was just challenged in the Supreme Court and Samour wrote a great dissent. It lost 4-3 but I think the ruling shows who believes in the Colorado constitution or not.

I'll admit, I've gotten pretty lazy when it comes to the judges. As a general rule I always say vote them all out. Not like it ever really happens anyway.

Just got an email from Arapahoe County stating they have "received for processing" my ballot.

I dropped it in the box at the library on Sunday.

Great. Now you touched things that other people have touched and will probably get the Covid. No worries, they appeared to be pretty hard case about sanitizing surfaces and equipment. We timed it just right and only had to wait a couple minutes for them to cycle open stations. Even gave I Voted sticker, finger rubber, ink pen and your ID which they checked, in a sealed baggie.

If you mailed or dropped your ballot off, make sure to check that it was received and accepted here:

https://colorado.ballottrax.net/voter/

If something went wrong, you still have time to go vote in person.

Where is everybody checking in to see results throughout the evening?

Pretty sure cnn, msnbc, pbs are not going to be my go-to's, although I will hit them periodically to see was kind of diversions they're perpetrating.

My son has his first NRA Smallbore Practice tonight since March, so I will happily be there instead of watching the talking heads. Probably get an update late tonight, but the D cities and states will drag it out finding "missing" ballot boxes ad nauseam.
