View Full Version : the battle of political signs

So out in my area, Elizabeth, someone has been covering the roadside ditches with Hick and Biden signs. Yesterday morning when I came to work, it was obvious that the Biden supporters had been busy the night before as there were Hick and Biden signs every quarter mile along the highway for a stretch of road. Then when I went home after work those signs had all been removed and replaced with a Trump sign.

Probably because I support Trump that it just made me LOL!!

Also a good friend of mine called me last night to talk hunting but in the conversation he brought up that his Trump yard sign had been stolen. Well he has one of those ring door bells with video and got a clear video of the perp. Turned out to be a 13 y/o girl that lives just down the block from him. He and his wife recognized her so they paid the neighbor a visit. Got thier sign back. BUT the one thing that stuck out to my friend was when the 13 y/o sad that "Trump is a rapist!" Huh! mommy and daddy are filling her head with crap, I guess..

Anyone else seeing the "battle of the political signs?"

No Biden or Hick signs in our hood. Plenty of American flags along with Trump flags and Blue Line flags.

Just realized, there are no signs in our neighborhood.
in the last election about 2/3 Democrat signs with retired school teachers, young families with a real cultural mix, middle aged with older children, and a lot of entrepreneurs

Just wondering how many people, if any, are either going to be embarrassed by what they thought or ashamed by what they said or did to their neighbor? I live in a small some what affluent mountain community in Colorado. A “neighbor” posted that the “Evil” Republicans (who are his neighbors) stole his Biden, Hickenlooper, Yes on Prop 113, signs. The next post is about how the “GOP’ers” are too stupid to be even “knuckle drager’s” but are either “right wing fascist” , “Enemies of the State”, or Nazi street thugs. The next post says that the police or sheriff should be called immediately because it is a “Federal” crime to steal these signs. The next post says that the Republicans have to be guilty because only Bad and evil people would vote for the “Bad Orange Man” . A few other posters came to the defense of the “GOPers” by asking how do you know it was “Evil GOPers”? Also that the Democrats might have stolen some Trump signs and torn up a Trump flag. My point being is that I do not believe that Biden is capable of being president and I truly find Ms. Harris to be a bad if not evil person, but I DO NOT HATE EITHER OF THEM and wish them no harm. Many of the Biden supports have embraced the victory at all cost and that those of us who support Trump deserve no respect or humanity!

Nearly every sign in our area for Biden or Hick are in road side ditches, NOT on private property. I suspect that there are very few Hick/Biden supporters in the area, BUT that's not keeping someone from putting up lots of signs in an attempt to make people believe that there's support for the Dems in the area.

Not a fan of defacing or removing signs regardless of which side the sign represents. We had literally nothing but Trump/Pence and McSally signs for quite some time, then within a weekend all of them (the Trump ones) were either stolen or defaced with spray paint. Had the signs been Biden/Harris and Kelly, as much as I would have hated seeing them, I would have wanted them left alone as well. The Trump signs have all since been replaced, but still frustrating to see the destruction and hatred.

Ford/Dole 76 and Carter/Mondale sign out.

I view campaign signs just like bumper stickers.

A left wing person can plaster their car with progressive bumper stickers and their yard with socialist candidate campaign signs and have 99+% confidence that NOTHING bad will happen to their property (theft, vandalism, arson).

The opposite is NOT true, and in many areas almost guarantees a negative interaction.

I prefer to be a "gray man" in our area. Even though we have many hard core lefty type neighbors, the only sign I see daily is one homemade BLM example and one person running for County Commissioner. Biden/Harris signs are very low concentration, even in Boulder.

Lost of the same stuff is going on in my neighborhood. Many Trump signs and even flags have been taken. Even some thin blue line flags have been taken. One neighbor had a note written in crayon that on one side said "F*** TRUMP" and the other said Trupm was a xenophobe, racist, along with other things. Based on the doorbell video it was a teenage girl who left it.

The only houses with Biden signs are the ones owned by very wealthy people who live near Colorado College.

Other than that, they're all on public property.

No brainer.

If 50 50 state, it is safe to hypothesize that city will have way more D sign and rural will have more R candidate signs.
The surbur will have near 50/50 on near 50/50 counties.

I saw a headline about someone cutting their hand on a razor-blade lined sign... the bottom edge had blades placed on it so when you'd go to grab and pull up on it, you'll cut your hand. Seems like a sure-fire way to make someone think twice.

Twitter is down. Facebook is down. DDOS map shows attacks from CHINA & RUSSIA. My new laptop was somehow unable to connect this AM. Can't access email. Ebay couldn't show pictures. My antivirus got stuck. Arfcom said social media sites were banning anything with Hunter/Biden Ukraine story? Anybody else notice this?

I finally got to Facebook through Tor browser. Turned off my built in GPS revealing my location. I use facebook to read locals reporting crime. Seems unusual I can't access social media through the normal browsers. Cyber threat maps showed attacks coming from N. Korea and Germany too. I have no political sign in the yard.

Nothing personal to anyone here who puts up political signs, but frankly in my opinion it's not wise to put signs in your yard in thus climate. I mean what purpose does it serve? And it only draws negative attention.

People already know presidential, Gubernatorial, and senate race.
I try to concentrate street yard signs for smaller ones like US congress, state house and senate which people rarely sees tv ads.

I had a guy who had a cross and maga church logo on his truck coming perpendicular to me. The truck went on a parking lot curve and cut me off.
What a FUCKING GREAT WAY TO ADVERTISE YOUR RELIGION, BELIEF, DENOMINATION , AND CHURCH.

I used to take them the day after the election.

The wire is great for making things when coat hanger wire is too thin.

After a quick sanding it welds well as well.

Some is much thicker than others. I have made some very durable radiator guards for motorcycles out of it.

Driving around down here you'd think Trump was running unopposed. Then again, in this neck of the woods he probably is. I have yet to see a Biden/Harris sign or bumper sticker. On the other hand I don't get out much.

In 2008, you couldn't spit without hitting an Obama sign in Boulder. Not the same level of enthusiasm for Biden, who is supported only because he is not Trump.

To be fair, there are a lot of idiot voters out there who will look at their ballot and say "Jee, I don't know who these people are, but I saw a lot of signs with Person A's name, he must be popular, I'll vote for him."

This. Morons have as much right to express their support for idiots as anyone else. I don't want them removing the ones I support, I shouldn't support people removing theirs UNLESS they use private property without permission or if there is an express non-political reason for removing them (e.g., traffic safety). In Colorado, I think the signs are supposed to be removed either 24 or 72 hours after the election -- after that, they are nuisance trash and can be removed by anyone. As stated in a prior thread, they make great backer boards for shooting once you paint over the printing.

I put out local election signs. People still don't understand. The rot of liberalism starts at the dog catchers job and rises from there.

Biden/Harris signs are very low concentration, even in Boulder.

A very interesting thing that I have noticed around town. I moved to Boulder in 2000 and with every election that has taken place since moving here there has been no lack of pro Democrat yard signs and bumper stickers. This time however, despite the open hate for Trump I can only think of 3 yard signs and a small handful of bumper stickers that I have seen. What that means remains to be seen.

just had to update this.

So we've gone from a bunch of "yard" signs along hwy. 86, in the hwy. ROW, last week, down to zero yard signs as of this a.m. Not a single sign left along the hwy. Guess someone must've decided that two can play the game, red removes the blue, and so blue removes the red leaning signs. Honestly, I like it better that they are all gone.

Still lots of BIG and small signs on private property along the hwy., but that's where they belong, as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing the communists do is a joke, they have no sense of humor and their only goal is domination.

The rainbow is another representation of the soft bigotry of the democrats. Divide and conquer.
