I can't help it. I'm addicted to these videos.
Also, I was today years old when I found out the Chinese made an M-14 clone that shoots 7.62x39 and takes AK mags:

I love the forgotten weapons, don't watch as much as I should
Yep...it is a favorite channel.

Ian's channel is one of my favorites. It has been fun to watch him develop as a showman and scholar over the years.
I prefer him way more than that other guy- Hickok45, who is far too "folksy" for my tastes.
Most gun channels either seem to be people who are far too excited about blowing things up, or think they look good running around in "size husky" BDUs.

Ian covers interesting subject matter and presents and produces his videos very well. I try to ignore his politics and just enjoy the videos.

What politics? Maybe I have missed something.

Ian's Father lives in Denver, and is a published author on the subject of Japanese rifles.
They used to visit with my friend Steve who sets up next to me at the TANNER Gun Show.

Yep Forgotten Weapons is addictive, especially the episodes where he gets to shoot the weapons.

Circuits is probably an Elbonian sympathizer.

I do know that Karl has expressed his views on certain subjects using the InRange channel, but has always been careful to declare they are "his" views and not anybody else's associated with the production.

Ian seems to be partial to the French firearms. I could talk to him a few months and learn a few things.
They're all in great shape - never fired, only dropped once.

Thankfully, he keeps them out of his videos - which is why I've been able to continue watching and enjoying.
Ian's a lefty liberal, and John Brown Gun Club member. Think of him as a gun-savvy George Clooney.

Sounds like something an Elbonian would say - my Cow-orker told me.

I am now curious. What is the background on your statement? Does he have an alternate social media existence where these type of views are promoted, or do you know him/his family personally?

How soon we forget:
France provided the money, troops, armament, military leadership, and naval support that tipped the balance of military power in favor of the United States and paved the way for the Continental Army's ultimate victory, which was sealed at Yorktown, VA, five years after Franklin embarked on his mission.

[word]
The French military has occasionally been poorly led (as has every other military force in the world - including our own) but the French soldiers have always been fighters. The whole "cheese eating surrender monkey" meme that's popped up since the Iraq war is stupid and needs to die.
There's also a quote that has been running around the intertoobz for a few decades that goes "I'd rather have a German division in front of me than a French division behind me" purportedly by General Patton. Anybody who has read anything about Patton knows how dumb that is - Patton LOVED the French, it was the BRITISH he didn't trust.

I've never been able to detect his politics, I'm more interested in his background and how he came to be Youtube's "Gun Jesus."

He most assuredly is not a lefty, he's a libertarian/anarcho capitalist. Ask me how I know.
Some idiots tried to start a rumor that he was involved in the CHAZ debacle and he ended up posting a video repudiating all of that.

I very much enjoy the show. But it certainly highlights some of my interests go way down the rabbit hole. I find I only watch it after hours when the family has gone to bed. I suspect most normal people would say "OMG it is soooo boring and every show is exactly the same! Oooo, look at the wood stock Oooo check out the trigger, it is just like the trigger we looked at before...". I dont need to advertise my dorkiness. Some things need to be kept under cover.

Interviews he's given, outside of his role on the "Forgotten Weapons" YouTube channel.
