Walmart has pulled all guns and ammo from store sales until after the election.

Interesting.

No doubt looking to prevent some "self-assisted shopping".

Well hopefully distributors are no longer fulfilling any Walmart orders so that the ammo available will go to those who continue to sell.

Never have anyone at the guns n ammo counter anyway to sell it to you...gun control thru no sale

Eh. They should just stick to groceries and crappy clothes from China anyways. I don?t think I?ve bought a firearm from Walmart since about 1990.

Is this everywhere? I have heard that they were pulling them off the floor in the areas that were ?mostly peaceful protesting? to prevent them getting guns and ammo.

Still have guns/ammo at Walmarts in Lawton and Altus as of this afternoon.

They were in process of pulling guns and ammo yesterday afternoon at Walmart Ft Morgan.

Was at Walmart in Elizabeth today. The Department manager said it is nationwide was a corporate thing.

There was a full display case at the Walmart on Magnolia in Fort Collins yesterday, plenty of rifle and shotgun ammo.

Cant believe they have concerns about folks trying to steal or loot shotgun or rimfire ammo in Ft Morgan.

They closed the Walmart on Grant & 104th when "The Troubles" were occurring downtown.

The front entrances were bunkered down behind pallets of potting soil and looked like something out of the London Blitz.

The Home Depot next door was full of customers.

I would have been PO'ed if that was what Walmart thought of my community.

If people from your community had walked in the front door and killed a few people, then they might not be wrong.

I guess I don't see how the actions of a nut job a few years ago are related them acting like the store was located on the corner of Colfax and Washington.

A lot of things corporate does, at any company, don't make sense.

If they are doing this to increase sales per square feet ratio, that is fine.
If they are doing this for political or popular issue, they can kiss k-marts ass.

No I was told they are stopping sales due to the possibility of social unrest throughout the country after the election. Most major Police departments are also planning for large scale social unrest as well due to election results

Just got my Savage rebate from the rifles I got at WM back in August. $36 for 3 rifles. I?m glad I kept them out of the hands of criminals at a great savings to me!!

When I lived in Little Rock, the sheriff had hidden deputies in stores. When they were robbed, the deputy would blast the criminal with a 12 gauge shotgun. This resulted in a 96 percent drop in robberies.

I heard it on the street that some folks call that entrapment.
Uh-huh, Mmmmm!

Kudos for them for trying to keep guns out of the hands of whack job leftists who are going to snap after Trump wins.

Those kind of nut jobs scare me.

I feel like we're kind of glossing over the part that Wal-mart is convinced there will be a high enough level of unrest that they even need to do this. That's kind of scary.

My memory, while not great, remembers walmart doing this at least one time in the past. Maybe not nationally, but they've done it locally before.

This all seems kinda premature.
Most conservatives won’t have time to riot and loot until after work and will probably wait until after 5 on Friday........
Or does Walmart know something the polls aren’t reporting?

Lurch
10-29-2020, 20:58
So where are they putting them? In the backroom or shipping back to the warehouses? I'm pretty sure if people are going to loot a store they are going into the store room. But of course people aren't real smart, they looted a 5 below store in Philly.

I feel like we're kind of glossing over the part that Wal-mart is convinced there will be a high enough level of unrest that they even need to do this. That's kind of scary. They have become pretty "sensitive" since the bad guy shot up the stores in Texas. That event triggered their decision to discontinue AR and other "assault weapon" ammo sales.

Or does Walmart know something the polls aren?t reporting? The media and academics are already gaslighting the country about this. Many are claiming it's the right wing, white supremacists and even Oath Keepers who are the biggest threat of violence after the election.

I guess because they've been practicing for months on the streets in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Philly, etc... Or was that a different group of people. I can't remember now.

The Walton family has over a $100 billion in assets. You think they can afford to procure good "business intelligence"? Over 500 billion dollars in sales this year.

Cabela's in Thornton did the same thing mid-Sept when 'things' were busy in Denver. They had a dude walk in, grab a gun and walk out during that time frame.

I'm not sure if it's still in place, but there wasn't a firearm in site when I was there.

Walmart to return firearms to the sales floor today as social unrest remains 'geographically isolated' (https://news.yahoo.com/walmart-to-return-firearms-to-sales-floor-183046047.html)

I guess that means fewer guns in blue states. [Coffee]

If Walmart is worried about the liability of looters getting the firearms and ammo now I bet they stop selling them all together.

If America ever wakes up and realizes that Antifa is a terrorist organization (which will never happen), will Wal-mart be held responsible for arming enemies of the state?

arbol
10-30-2020, 21:12
At one point in time, Government wasn't really involved in people's motives. They just cared about their actions.

If you got out and cry "Antifa!," that's okay, but if you block traffic, or burn down buildings, that's another thing.

Not thrilled with what's happened to WalMart since Sam Walton died. I miss the WalMart's of the 70's & 80's and growing up in MO I had the occasional chance of running into Sam in one of the store's.
