View Full Version : Coloradan in exile checking in
Hello- Curious to know what is going on at home on the political landscape? I am in Virginia, which used to be patriotic USA, and keep hoping Colorado will shift from a falling into the clutches of leftists any further. My friends tell me not to bother to come back, not the same place.
Anyway, thought I would share something on early voting. When I voted in at the polling place early, the older gentleman next lane over presented himself for a ballot but the clerk confronted him with the fact he had asked for a mail in ballot and asked where it was. He claimed it was in his car, she asked him to surrender it and he disappeared. I think we know exactly what he was hoping to do, what surprised me is that he would be so bold about it. I tried to see where he went, but I suspect he will just return another day when election officials are not so vigilant. I can only hope that is not going on there.
Anyone care to share a summary?
BTW - whomever labled me Trading Post Troll can bite me. Please share that sentiment widely among the admins. Thank you
Last election people in line were openly bragging about illegally voting multiple times. Also your title is probably an automatic thing based on post count.

Post more, and the automatic "trading post troll" label will change.
We have all been "trading post troll" at some point. (Unless you started a long time ago). Its nothing personal, and just an attempt at a bit of humor.
ETA: I'm apparently slow compared to izzy. He's just bored, waiting on me to show up and decap some brass.

Thanks for the info and update. Colorado is steadily becoming Californicated.
As to the Newbie/TP troll title it is site wide and determined by your post count. Participate in the forum and as your post count goes up your title changes.
Bitch about it or insult Mods/Admins over it at your peril.

Good stuff right there.

We have enough whiners here already, and it looks like you're trying your hardest to burn your bridge here, so probably just listen to your friends and stay out there.
Thank you for your replies so far guys!!

Well, that may be in your opinion Irving, but given how delicate things are now in the whole polarized us vs. them environment do you really want to go that route and ostracize someone you may need on your side? I suspect not, but if so, you already can anticipate what my response to you might be, I think so we will leave it at that. Yes, I get the let's add some humor to things bit, but that is not really appropriate for something that appears to be geared towards attracting more members than fewer. If I am mistaken, by bad.
In the meantime. Others are asking me about home as I speak about it frequently. I supposed that people on the ground could give more and better insights. I understand cost of living there are driving out the new comers and hopefully eroding their base. Looking to move operations there and with that, a population I believed would be more in line with most who check in here. Who knows maybe Magpul would return? One can hope.
How is the Senate race looking? Get no to little news about that here, and I won't pay for the Post.

Colorado is East California and no sign of that getting any better ... that's why we left.
