With the potential for stupid turned up to 11 for the next few days/weeks, curious what repeaters and channels people are trending towards to get updates and the like. General Denver awareness.

Trying to stay away from DMR talk groups - looking for straight 2m/70cm.

And also cured for a specific amount of time based on muscle thickness for food safety reasons.

Okay

The Colorado Connection is a system of linked 2-meter repeaters that are built and maintained by volunteers.
The system is open to all licensed amateur radio operators.
The Colorado Connection is not a club with dues and membership, it is a system supported solely by voluntary donations and managed by a board of volunteer directors.

I'm usually on Col Con. You can look up repeaters near you here: repeaterbook.com/repeaters/index.php/?state_id=08

Horsetooth repeater owned by NCARC is typically pretty active. They have both 2m 145.115 - 100HZ tone and 70cm 447.275 - 100HZ tone side of it. W0CFI 448.675 - offset 100Hz tone was fairly active when I still lived down there.

In Southern Colorado I like colconn (145.130) and 146.97 (it's on pikes peak, has a good wx net). I was in NYC during Irene and Sandy, I'll always have a TV antenna and broadcast FM radio as they proved to be the well of timely, A1 info.
