View Full Version : POTUS Candidates in 2024?

Either way this thing turns out who are your favorites for a conservative candidate in 4 years?

Ted Cruz? Should be able keep Texas with no problem, how would he do nationwide? I actually liked him 4 years ago but Trump just got the momentum and ran away with it. His policies were good and the tax plan was really nice.

Tim Scott? South Carolina, don't know all his policies but I really like what I have heard so far from him on a national stage. Gotta believe he would be tough to beat for Kamala.

John James? Jury still out if he wins the senate seat in Michigan, but if he gets some national notoriety over the next 2 years he may be able to build some momentum. Would be nice to have Michigan wrapped up going into election night, er week... Former Apache pilot I think.

Kristi Noem? Young governor still getting experience but seems to be building some pull on the national stage. Not sure if she helps on the electoral map very much but I like her.

I think it's most important whoever runs, they get together in the primaries and run as a team and support each other with an actual conservative strategy like the dems had when Bernie and Pocahontas opened the door for Sleepy Joe to walk right into it.

Who else is on the list?

Nikki Haley, lets fight fire with fire. Find her a minority running mate and let the media explode trying to paint them as racist and anti women.

I would be extremely happy with Ted Cruz. Most conservative. However,as a president can he do good without any compromise? If he can, that would be great.

He also beat that Jimmy Kimmel clown striaght with 1 on1 basketball. [LOL]

Candace Owens will be old enough, legally speaking.

Trey Gowdy would be a good running mate.

Either one could head the ticket.

Right, NEVER underestimate your enemy.

That's what got us here in the first place.

Not underestimating, it's a simple fact.

What got us here is spineless politicians over the years that caved to whoever would pay them the most. If not for Trump, Hillary was going to wax the floor with Jeb Bush. That guy is exactly the type that got us here. Before that it was Romney. We need someone that tells it how it is and isn't bought and paid for but has enough of a filter to not get themselves in trouble as much as Trump does.

Until that person emerges, we better hope we can hold the senate until then or we may just have to find out how well armed these liberals are once they start passing shit that actually affects how you live your daily lives.

You mean there could be Democrats in nuclear missile silos? In Colorado? And past reports, say flying saucers neutralized the missiles? Maybe I should get a satellite telephone? Somebody call Elon and have him get me a new phone!

You think I'm lying?

4 years away is a lifetime though when politics is concerned, anything can happen and anyone can come and go in that period of time.

And so what, exactly, are you planning to do to unarmed people? [facepalm]

And I'm under no illusion that assertion is even correct or that it even matters. Their leadership owns the big urban centers, which means they control the police, the media, etc.

I don't deny we're in the midst of a non-shooting, ideological civil war right now. So what if you and I have lots of guns and don't like the other side? You gonna go out and start shooting? I'm not. Not at this point. It's gonna have to come down to my personal safety before that would ever happen.

You guys are bat shit crazy here so far. I didn't bring up the Civil War thing, someone else did. My point is that unarmed people don't fight wars very well, especially when they have spent their whole lives being afraid of guns and getting trophies for showing up. Then some other bozo is trying to convince me that the left is well armed. Now another guy up there thinks Civil War II is going to go nuclear and Denver PD is coming out to the country to take away my gas guzzler and turn my A/C down.

We have two years with the senate as a defense for whatever bullshit the libs try to force on us. In that time, conservatives need to find someone that can win over 70 million people. There are some good ones out there so it will be interesting to see who starts talking about making a run. If the RINOs start popping up we are hosed.

Yup, BG gets it. Gun owners typically have their "cold dead hands" fantasies, but the powers at idological war here are not stupid. Same as Russian and China, they'll never have a direct war with us, and yet, they'll still win.

Never underestimate the intelligence of our opponents, or their desire to both succeed, and live.

I would be really happy with Pence but I really think they need to go Haley/Owens or Haley/Klacik or something like that. In a situation with Biden as the Democratic candidate to be even close much less not having a verdict the day after Election Day, the Republicans are going to need women of color to run against a woman of color. The Dems are just too much into quotas and are convincing the "moderate" electorate of the need for these quotas annually. At least Haley is a capable leader and Klacik is charismatic.

I was almost surprised to read that Kim Klacik had her ass handed to her by Mfume...71% to 29%. Then I remembered she was a republican running in a Baltimore inner city district.

If Biden is declared the winner it won't matter, there will never be another President that isn't a member of The D Party ... and in 2 years they take the Senate back and we're good and truly done. I say this for 2 main reasons: 1) If Biden wins, then the cheating machine won and will only grow more powerful and 2) the D's will start implementing policies to force the country into a single party nation (just like they did in CA and are doing in CO).

America is California now ... in two years it becomes Venezuela.

In a fair and balanced world, yes.
In a fair and balanced world Trump would have taken this by a massive landslide.

We are not in a fair and balanced world.
We are in a Banana Republic.

This assumes we have honest elections. If Biden is declared winner than we clearly don't. We're no longer a Democracy (or even a Democratic Republic) we're a kleptocracy under an Oligarchy with an oppressive Administrative State. And in that eventuality, none of us here will have the balls (or stomach) to do what must be done (myself included).

Dan Crenshaw and tim Scott. Both well spoken, both explain conservatism very well. One a veteran that gave an eye for his country, the other a minority that reached the top of success. Difficult to smear them.

Yeah, he got his old seat back that he held prior to going to the NAACP. He didn't have to spend squat to get it, either. The constituents in that district deserve what they get, which is more of the same decay.

If red flag laws is enough for you to not want an actual conservative, that's your right. Silly hill to die on if you ask me though. If you expect to share beliefs on literally every single subject with a candidate you're going to be sorely disappointed. Reagan did a lot of good for the country and for conservatism at a time it was badly needed, but he still had several positions I am adamantly against.

Ill take a fiscally conservative capitalist if I have to sacrifice red flag laws all day every day.

The reported results from Baltimore, Fulton County, Detroit, Wisconsin, Philadelphia, Clark County, etc. just reinforce my perception for the past decade or so that the Democrats have had widespread machinations to undermine actual elections. No central conspiracy directing it but pockets to manufacture votes they need, suppress votes they don't like, etc. They tried this in 2000 with Gore trying to make up votes in FL to flip the election and executed it in 2008 to get Al Frank the critical 60th Senate seat they needed to push Obamacare past cloture. I think they just got complacent in 2016 or Hillary would have manufactured more votes in Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, etc.

Anyone that agrees with red flag laws is not an actual conservative.

That said, I thought ole one-eye had backtracked on TAPS and was back in our good graces now?

... just reinforce my perception for the past decade or so that the Democrats have had widespread machinations to undermine actual elections...

Yeah, the fix has been in for quite a while.

Basically I think it comes down to this, if we don't see some sort of supernatural event in our favor in the next few days, the Republic is lost. And considering how corrupt The Church in America has become in the last half century, I'm not holding my breath (I don't think God has our back anymore ... or more to the point the nation doesn't have his).

Ah, no room for disagreements. Believe all tenants or you can't be conservative. Thats very democratic of you. The democrat party is all about ultimatum and lock step on all issues. If we try to play that game and don't make room for disagreements and discussion, we will lose, every time. I don't like red flag laws, but I think they can be debated and logically shown to be faulty thinking. I don't think, however, we should exclude anyone based solely on that.

Again, was Reagan not conservative due to his views on guns?
