Curious as to what you all are using and liking. I?ve picked up some tags for Nebraska this year and have been thinking about adding software to my kit bag.

In my initial research, leaning towards BaseMap due to imagery clarity and cost for maps.

I hunt antelope, elk, deer and waterfowl. Hoping to add some upland to the mix this year, maybe spring turkey - time dependent. Mostly CO, but new this year, have 4 doe tags for Nebraska whitetail.

Me and my buddies all run OnX. Really happy with it. I also hear good things with Basemaps.

I run OnX, but have zero experience with the others. Always make sure to download your offline maps before you go.

I switched to basemaps this year. Like it so far.

I use onX and I am happy with it. No experience with the others. If you hunt out of state, they have all the states for about 3X the price of 1.

OnX for me. Definitely take the time to download your maps for offline use. I have heard good things about GoHunt maps. There is a promo code for GoHunt on the Hunt Talk forum.

Are you able to share data between friends in OnX?

Good point. Do downloaded maps ?expire? after some time? I?d hate to clog the memory with old map files.

I don't think so, but you could just delete them. I've gone through about 4 phones since I've had OnX and all my offline maps were saved to the cloud. I just had to download them again on my latest phone.

OnX is now using a 3D feature like Google maps. That's pretty nice.

OnX allows you update the offline map to get the newest data - so you can update as opposed to having a bunch of old ones on your device. You can also offload them from the phone but it saves the area so you can download it later.

I haven't used the App yet, just online using a friend's OnX account to get his waypoint data. To that point, the data exported/imported just fine into my oddball not hunting specific GPS app Backcountry Navigator.

OnX, only because that is what WYG&F uses and they are the ones with the shiny bracelets where I fish.

Circling back to close the loop, but I went with BaseMap using the Muley Freak discount code.
