Source for corner water storage tank

I?m wondering if anyone has a good source for these corner water storage tanks that would fit into a closet corner, like 80-90 gallons. The only source I can find is some ?Ready2Go Food Storage? site which feels shady. I guess if anyone has had dealings with Ready2Go and can say that they didn?t get ripped off I might just order from there.

According to a 2012 video by Nutnfancy they used to be carried by Honeyville but I don?t see any water storage items on their website, maybe they do still have them in store?

I see that various companies have smaller versions up to like 39 gallons that are made for horse trailers, but I?m really looking for the 80-90 gallon ones that would maximize the effort and floor space.

Two quick questions for consideration, what is the footprint of the tank and what is the load bearing limit of the floor. 90gal of H2O by itself weighs almost 760lbs.

Footprint appears to be a right triangle with the hypotenuse in the shape of an arc. It’s basically one quarter of a cylinder from what I can figure. I don’t have solid data on the dimension but if I had to guess it looks like it might be 19”x19” and 66” tall, which would put the footprint at just shy of 2 sq ft. 80 gallons of water at 8.34lbs/gal is 667.2lbs, which would be 333.6 lbs/sq ft. That’s a fair bit of weight, but not unreasonable for a floor structure to carry, think about your fat uncle standing with his feet together or a grand piano sitting on its three legs. It’s been a very long while but somewhere I remember reading about the standard weight bearing design guidelines for residential floors in relation to installing gun safes on the floor, I seem to recall someone saying 500lbs/sq ft was the figure. Might be BS, don’t quote me.

All that said, for me these would be going into the basement on a slab-on-grade floor, so I’m not worried about the weight. It is a good consideration for people putting them on the main or second level of a stick frame house.

Here is the video I referenced where Nutnfancy sees one for sale at Honeyville in 2012, about 8:30 into the video. They had the 80 gal and a taller skinnier 30 gal in black plastic. No clue If they still sell them in store or not.

Weight is going to be less (slightly) than an 80gal water heater.

That’s also a good point, an 80 gallon water heater would weigh a fair bit more than one of these plastic tanks.

I’ll let everyone know if I find a good source, I might bite the bullet and try out that Ready2Go site.

Your footprint and lb/sqft jibe pretty well with what I was guessing. I was figuring the full 90 tank to be about 350 lbs/sqft.
